I'm not sure what you're asking, are you trying to convert your car to a manual transmission?
If you are wanting to use a 3.5 liter engine and bolt it to your automatic transmission, then pretty much your only option is a J35A6.

Keeping car Manuel. Which bell housing do I need?
My car is a Manuel. Got the engine out of a 2010. Hopes my trans would bolt up with little modification. Trying to find out, which transmission or bell housing I need? Want keep Manuel transmission.

To bolt up the J35Z6 engine ou will need a new bellhousing for your manual transmission (Manuel is the guy who lives next door to me); that said, I suspect you will not be able to get your J35Z6 engine to operate above 3,500 RPMS, like I wrote before, if you want a J35 in your car, you should purchase a J35A6

Why wouldnt it rev past 3500rpm tho??? But easiest j35 swap would be the j35a6 for his case.

Agreed on the J35A6, regarding the J35Z6, my understanding the electronic controls for the VTEC are slightly different. Am I misinformed? Highly possible.

Just like any of the newer bigger port heads, (j37, newer j35s) you just need to swap over all the cam gears cam sensors, cam plate and lower timing sprocket. Certain ones you have to change over the crank sensor and wire harness with it. Whatever motor you choose, you try to make it work with the existing engine harness and ecu in the car. If you go manual, alot more is involved
