If I remember correctly only the 04-06 Auto TL's have a filter that is serviceable, as well as an internal one that isn't?, the 07-08 have an internal filter that can't be serviced without dissembling the transmission.

04-06 only have access to the filter. 07+ do not have access unless you take the transmission case off.

thanks for replying guys! That's what I'm assuming. But I called my local Acura dealership and they told me I have a in-line serviceable filter. When I went to AutoZone they also pulled it up for my year make and model.

sometimes you'll see parts catalogs get confused and 04-06 parts pull up for 07-08 TLs. As others stated, 07-08 transmissions require disassembly for the filter so it's not recommended on just a regular maintenance basis.

Change the transmission fluid if it hasn't been done in a while. That's even more important.

its serviceable filter but what they fail to tell you is that your transmission housing must come off the engine block in order to get to that filter. My mechanic work at the dealer told me as long as you do 1x3 (like me 15k miles per drain and fill) the filter should not to be worry about.

Wow I should've searched before ordering the $20 filter.
