2008 Base Engine Failure

Currently have a 2008 base model silver tl with 174XXX kms on it. Only owned her for 9 monthes and the engines done. Mech thinks the main engine bearing is totally messed up. A new engine is going in please pray for my tl shes gonna need it

Prayers won't help, what you need is a good mechanic who'll validate a replacement engine is in good shape.
The interesting thing is, these engines don't typically go Tango Uniform with so few miles on them; did you run it low on oil or something?

the J series engine is know for last more than 300k miles if maintain properly. How does you know or suspecting the engine is toasted?

swap a good used engine in and you are good to go.
