2007 TL with slight 'hesitation' in acceleration..

This may be similar to the thread about the chevron fuel system cleaner.

Anyways, i'm the 3rd owner of this 07 TL and since I got it last year Nov 2010...every now and then I feel a bit of 'hesitation' mostly during low speeds and quite intermittent.

Thing is.. i have NO clue how the 1st owner had treated this car in terms of cheap gas vs premium gas. the 2nd owner is my personal best friend who swears he used ONLY premium fuel and car was ONLY serviced at an acura dealership (he gave me all service records to confirm and I do believe he used the right gas). The 2nd owner picked up the car when it was at about 25000km and I took it off him at 37500km.

Sooo.. would it be a good start to dump in some of this chevron fuel system cleaner ?

I did call ACURA as the car is still under warranty and they told me to bring it in with the tech suspecting "winter fuel"? lol. but they mentioned
that the fuel injection cleaning is recommended every 3yrs or so at $180.

SOOOOO.. just to see if i can rectify this problem myself...should I use the chevron stuff first and of course, i assume this would not affect any sort of warranty on the car.

Thanks... let me know and i will go out and get the chevron stuff tonight and report back .

It's completely Normal. So what you are saying is that when you give it gas (very quickly) is takes about half a second or so to start going.

If that's what is happening its, the Drive by wire system in the car.

Perhaps look into APP sensor?
