2007 TL Leaking Shock??

Hi all got a quick question. Recently, I have noticed a small leak of seems like an oily liquid coming from the drivers side rear wheel area. I get down to check it out and I find that the bottom of my shock looks wet and hence the leaking. I have taken a pic of it could you guys tell me if my shock is getting ready to blow, or is it something else? Any info is appreciated.

Thanks in Advance.

so is that probably what it is? How much would something like this cost, and do you replace all 4 shocks, or just the 1?

the answer is replace the blown shock.
if it were me, i'd replace all 4....however, if budget is tight, you can get away with just doing the broken one.

replace shock at least in pair if you are in budget, if not I would go for all four.

Koni Yellows are an excellent replacement for the factory shocks! Lifetime warranty for the person purchasing the koni's as well. For a bit less than the Koni shocks (only shocks), you can buy the Tein SA Coilover kit that is stiffer than the factory suspension but can be adjusted for more comfort, lowers the car and saves about $200. You can also go with KYB replacements from rockauto that are going to be cheaper.

I replaced the factory shocks on my TL with 140K and it wasn't that bad of a job to do as long as I had the Impact gun to remove some bolts.

+1

I would go with OEM as well. They last quite a long time and how can you go wrong with OEM? I hate aftermarket anything, especially critical components.
