2005 TL engine compartment issue

What is this part here? Looks broken. Could this be causing a thud sound with every bump in the road? Engine mount?

Side engine mount.
it is indeed broken.
and it could be the source of the sound you're hearing as it holds the engine in place.

Is this an easy weekend job to do? I've replaced the knock sensor before on the car so I'm somewhat decent at working on cars. What am I looking at out of pocket vs having the dealership do it?

Thanks for the fast replies, everyone!

Very easy to change. It took me about 30 minutes to do and that included finding my socket set. Once the tools were rounded up, this should be less than 15 minutes to replace.

Nonsense. Throw in a couple beers and it's easily a 45 minute job

Thank you.

Did you have to do anything with the engine or was it just a part swap. Curios if I need to lift the engine a bit and if any disconnecting is required

Please advise
Thanks

as long as the front engine mount isnt broken, as it holds it in place up high enough for the side mount.

if you do come across the engine slumping down enough where you cant get the side mount in; use a jack and a piece of wood to prop against the oil pan.
lift slightly to where the side mount aligns.

Might as well replace the front one and trans mount while you are at it...
