Unhappy 2005 SC'd TL knock sensor problem

What's up y'all???

Anybody having problem with their knock sensor too? I have a Supercharged 2005 TL and the knock sensor light wont go away, we already replaced it with a new knock sensor and the knock sensor light still wont go away.

Any help or suggestion on what to look for?

I appreciate all the help and suggestions.

I've seen some threads on this in performance mods section. Something about wiring the knock sensor wires around the acm as they were prior to installing the ACM unit.

im having the same problem and yes you do need to rewire the knock sensor around the acm.

it works for some people but for me it doesnt work and im still working on ggetting it fixed.

tuning might also help, i.e getting a greddy emanage blue or ultimate

but if you figure something out before i do, please do let me know

Hey guys, I have a 2005 TL supercharged too. I used to have the knock sensor problem. My problem was fixed, actually, once it was wired properly, the car cleared the check engine code by itself. If you look at you SC intallation instructions, it tells you to splice that one wire (not sure of the colour, can't remember) and to splice another set as well, if you look at the picture they use to show you, the one wire that is spliced to the knock sensor is the splicing they show on the left. Just ignore that step, just splice the set that they show you on the right side of the diagram. Then have your ECU reset or just wait for the car to clear it by itself. That should work. Actually CT engineering has since changed the installation instructions, if you look at the newer version of the instructions, it tells you the new way, without the knock sensor splice. I hope this helps. Do any of you with the supercharger get that strange surging hickuping when you accelerate with the supercharger? If you do, were you able to solve that problem?
