2004 TL has 2 sec delay when shifting from p to drive or p to reverse
Hi guys.
I just bought a 2004 TL with 100 000 kilometeres on it. I noticed that when I shift from Park to Drive or Park to Reverse, the transmission takes about 2 seconds to actually engage the gear. Is this common in TLs or is my transmission going bad?
When i shift from Park to drive it feels like a double shift.
Either than that when i drive off it shifts wonderfully with no slipping in any gear
Thanks so much for any info..

I called Acura dealer today, the service department gentleman said there is a delay of 2 secondes of slow engagement...never seen that on any of my other cars i've owned....Canadian cost to change the transmssion oil 89.95..
Brought my car in to the dealer Friday..they say the transmission needs replacing...!!!

The Tech said it is not normal..
2004 Tl 107 000 kilometers ..i'm in Canada
