2 questions about body work
Ok, so like my first post here says, I was recently in a minor accident about a week and a half ago. I'll link to the pictures to show the damage.
I guess for you guys to know the full extent of the damage I should tell everyone what exactly happend. As I was driving home from work at around 11:00pm on the highway going 65mph (Seriously ) a biker (Really nice 2009 GSX-R 750) came flying by, Slammed on his brakes and got about 1 foot in front of me. I freaked out and swerved out of the way to my right (this is a 3 lane highway with me in the middle lane, the biker in the left lane) and hit a car a bit in front of me doing about 50ish miles an hour. I slammed on my brakes as I swerved so I estimate my speed at about 55-60ish miles an hour. anyways, heres a picture I just took about 5 minutes ago.

So I guess my question would be, without taking the bumper off, how can I tell if the front Absorber (part #71170-SEP-A02) is broken or not? I want to order all needed parts, Right now it is the front bumper and some misc. plugs, and a grille part.
But wait! there is more! apparently the motorcycle slowed down so much he caused another car to side swipe me too. picture taken 5 mins. ago.

Now how would I go about getting this fixed? do I have to order a whole entire new left rear panel ( dont know part number, but its about 800$ )
I got to say though, as soon as I got in the accident, the following day I had the wheels aligned and was thinking if I should allow the insurance company fix it, or have my brothers dealership do it as they will buy the OEM acura parts and sell them to me for wholesale price (Im getting all new rotors/brakepads for my 06 TL for about 200 including labor )
anyways, any help would be considered.
oh sorry for the long post.

Normally the shop will wait until the cover is removed to see if the absorber needs replacement. Although the bumper shows a relatively small indentation, the hit actually went much farther into the absorber. Some will even advocate replacing the absorber after every accident when the absorber has been compromised. If you need o get the parts beforehand, for the $50 I buy the absorber.
I would say that a good shop would be able to repair the qtr panel, but if you were hit by another car, I would also assume that the insurance company of that driver would be liable for the damage done.
Good luck

Thanks for the reply man, do you think anything else may be damaged? As far as I can tell the radiator is fine, no weird noises, no leaks (been sticking a big white paper underneath my car and checking fluid levels every day) and no high engine temps, its been the same as it always is. Right below the temp picture. As far as the quarter panel is concerned, I was quoted 500, I'm pretty happy about that.
