150k and everything is breaking!

1) Engine has become very noisey. Sounds like valve chatter
2) both mirrors not working properly. When I put the car in reverse the driver mirror goes all the way up. Don't know why. The passenger side clicks as it moves. (I know the answer)
3) Both headlights cracking on the inside of the lenses.

This is this week. Does anybody have any tips or has anyone had similar problems?

1. Have you ever done a valve adjustment? It is recommended @ 105k miles
2. You know the answer
3. Can you post pics?

1. might be valves, but our engines are inherently noisy (according to many, the inherent noise is from the injectors, not the valves). Was the valve clearance checked at the 105K service? If not, then it might be the valves. If it was and it was OK, then I doubt it's the valves. If it was and the valves had to be adjusted, it's possible the tech didn't get one or more of the adjustment screws sufficiently tightened (really doubt this is the case though).

2. This could be a fuse. Have u checked them? Do a search, I forget which fuse it is.

3. Don't recall other posts on this particular issue...

my car is at 149K and since I got it in March I have had problems with:

replaced APP sensor

system too lean in bank 2, (still not sure what's up with that)

replaced passenger window motor

trim on passenger window needs replacing (road noise/sounds like a window is cracked open-annoying as fawk)

a/c just went out. There is a leak from one of the top valves, and possibly evaporator core (just ordered new pipe assembly)

Replaced headlight bulbs with Phillips bulbs, month later passenger side won't come on (still trying to figure out why)

steering wheel vibration, gas pedal vibration, seat vibration. Got the wheels road balanced, still sucks. Both bushings are torn, most likely causing overall vibration, can't afford fixing that.

Slow leak from radiator hose. The main one that hooks up to the engine. Need to fix it, just haven't had time.

Headlights are oxidized pretty bad, can't seem to get rid of the haze. Already tried wet sanding.

Driver's seat heater works when it wants to.

Passenger window has burn spots from previous owner.

Now getting this car for < $9,000 doesn't seem like such a good deal

1) I have never done a valve adjustment on the car. I will have to look thru the service records and see. I would assume it has been done since the guy was meticulous on the maintainence.
2. taking them apart tomorrow
3. Ill take some in the morning after I wash the car. Just got back from a trip to my cabin and the car is filthy.

Also
all the plastic coating has peeled off my e brake boot (in the past week) so I will be making a new one in the next week or so.

Rust has officially came thru on the roof. Going to the body shop for an estimate this week.

Also gotta call my insurance from backing into a pole and crushing the passenger side of the trunk.

Add passenger side door cable, and drivers side won't actually lock, the lock goes down but the door can still be opened.

I',m just going to start going thru everything and replacing it. I want the car to last another 150k
