Could this noise be anything other than a bad transmission? It idles fine in park, and can even rev without a problem. But the second I shift away from park the noise in the video happens and I can't shift back to park. Have to turn off the car to get it back in park.

Hello all,

This axle break, like many others mentioned in this forum, seems to have occurred at the vibration damper.

I realize Honda put it there for a reason, but many aftermarket axles do not include it.

Has anyone removed the damper? How did the car feel afterward?

I'm thinking of removing my damper to inspect the axle and realize it may not be easy to put back after the inspection.

 

Pretty much what I expected...

Not a big deal, just gotta get the part now...
