'07 TL spontaneously has no electrical power
So I walked out to my car this afternoon to go run errands, I unlocked the car with the remote like I usually do, opened the door, hear the familiar beep, and see the dash light up with the welcome message, then all of a sudden, the power completely shuts down and everything goes dark. I could not even get it to start with a jump. There is no power whatsoever. I checked the battery fuse and it tested fine. The battery is new (less than 2 weeks old). Has anyone had a similar problem? I've been googling this forum and everywhere to see if anyone has, but I haven't had any luck.

Could have sworn I have seen this issue before on the forums...

ended up being a loose red connector to the battery on that one

No, I don't think its the same problem. Basically, all I did was unlock the door with the key fob, the dash lights up with the greeting for like a split second, then shuts off. I have no electricity going anywhere (lights, horns, radio, locks, etc.). I'm thoroughly confused. I couldn't even get it to jump start. If its a fuse other than the battery fuse (which seems to be fine, checked with a fuse tester), I have no idea where to start checking.
I just drove the car yesterday to go eat dinner. I had no indications that there might have been something wrong.

You are SURE the battery connections are not at fault?
Check the battery voltage, check the voltage at the fusebox and the chassis. If you have voltage in and out of the under hood fusebox with respect to the chassis, something is surely very wrong.
Most likely cause is a bad connection on the battery, or potentially the single chassis ground wire has issues.

I'll give a better look today. I know the cables were tightened to the battery terminal and the ground from the negative terminal to the chassis was secure. Otherwise, I didn't get a good look at the rest since it was dark and raining. I hope its something simple like a loose cable otherwise...well...

Update: you guys were almost right. It did have to do with the battery connection, but it was due to paint being caked at the point where the negative battery cable connects to the body. I had bodywork done a few weeks ago. I really appreciate the input from you guys. Thanks.

Loss of ELECTRICAL power to the car.
I had this same issue and i found that the security was not reading my key anymore so it shut down all power to everything for security reasons. Thinking it is being stolen
SOLUTIONS new ignition new key. . Not a very difficult fix some may need factory reprogramming done.
