06 TL No Power NO Power to Ignition
06 TL No Power NO Power to Ignition
I bought a 06 TL. Great car.
Ok so I've noticed when that occationally my car wont start.
It wont crank or anything. Its like it has no power. Even the keyfob wont lock or unlock the doors.
It has a new battery , checked cables everything is tight.
Eventually it starts.
So why does this happen?

sounds like a battery issue. even tho you said a new battery, it def sounds like somethings not/loose connected, corroded, or weak cell in the batt.
or starter.
you dont really give much info to go off of.
when you say it eventually starts, does it click a lot?

Again, please provide more details.
you said no power to everything but then just said you can honk and turn on the lights, which is it?
when starting the car, does it crank? your original post says no but then you said after awhile it starts.
you said new battery, when did you get this new battery? and from where?

It has no power to the ignition. So it wont even turn over. Horn , lights work, but the keyfob wont lock or unlock the doors. After a few minutes power is restored.
Battery was purchased from Honda about 2 months ago.

Do you just hear a click at all? Sounds like you have a bad ground, clean your battery terminals and see if that fixes it. Also check the grounds from the battery to the chassis.
pump your brakes about 10 times until the brake becomes hard to push down. More than likely its a brake issue. I happened to make a pit stop at a corner store last week, only to return to car with no power. I tried to crank it and nothing but silence ensued. No clicks no nada. The brake like would light up just a bit when I tried to crank it. I pumped my brakes about 10 times and power was restored. I guess the brake lever didnt return to its default spot, causing the car not to start. Or I may be due for a brake switch.

Happened again, and problem was solved. The poster who stated battery issue was absolutely correct. Red battery cable was loose. I popped the hood and moved the cables and the car powered back on.
check your main fuse or positive battery cable there seems to be a bad connection from the battery to the fuse box
