'07 TL-S Torque Steer and MT Question

Hello All,
been a long time lurker on these forums for the past year, but havent been able to pin down a couple issues with my Type-S through searching.

The first issue I'm having is my car has always had a constant torque steer drift to the right under any sort of acceleration, even after a wheel balance and alignment, whereas if I let off the gas, the car travels straight. Now the issue has worsened and I also am experiencing pretty strong vibration throughout the car at highway speeds. I have come across through searching that the Control Arm aka Compliance Bushings cause issues when they wear out which I am thinking mine are, but are all these issues common symptoms of the bad bushings? I also plan on replacing my tires and getting a fresh balance and alignment as well I just want my car to drive smoothly again.

Also, the 2nd issue I am experiencing is my car is jerky when i let off the accelerator or initially give it gas. It bucks a little bit before leveling out, and the moment I let off the gas, it jerks before it smoothes out. It happens the worst in the first couple gears. Any thoughts on what could be causing that?

Thanks for all the Input

1.) Tourque Steer - If it actually has gotten worse, mostly alignment and the bushings are the main culprits to look at.

2.) Vibration - Check tires, rims, and CV joints.

3.) Jerky - Check your TPS. My '05 was a bear to drive in 1st and 2nd smoothly for close to a year. If I was trying to drive easy and smooth, it was impossible to not have the car buck and jerk. I had been ignoring it thinking it was just me since I only drove it once a month. Then my wife started complaining on how difficult it had gotten to drive smooth and I started researching. Replaced the TPS and all was good again.

The way I validated to myself it was the TPS and not my leg/foot shaking, I set the cruise while doing 30MPH and left it in 3rd. No matter if I was controlling the throttle or the computer, there were constant drops/blips in the throttle that could easily be felt.

EDIT: Just thought of this for the jerking based off of your description of only when you let off the gas....check your engine mounts. My side mount was pretty much gone (I think due to the TPS issue) and I could feel the engine moving a bit more than it should when letting off the gas or initially getting on the gas.

I second the engine mounts. Bad mounts will cause vibration and excessive engine movement. Also torque steer is due to unequal length axels and can worsen if angles change as during steering or if an engine mount is shot and is causing the engine to lean to one side.

ahhh, thank you guys, I had a feeling a motor mount could be contributing to the jerkiness, didnt think it would also cause my constant pull to the right. I still plan on replacing my Front tires and Compliance bushings in the next few weeks so I'll have a look at the motor mount while I'm at it. Are the Motor mounts pretty difficult to access and replace, is it a pretty hard and time consuming job? And just another question, What is the TPS? sorry I just came from the world of BMW's so I'm still familiarizing myself with the TL's setup.

TPS = throttle position sensor
I haven't replaced the motor mounts on the TL but I've read the front and side mounts are easy while the rear one is kind of difficult. There are a couple of DIYs on here you can search for.
