Hello! I recently noticed a leak under my car and decided to check it out. I noticed that a line is leaking towards the firewall. I just need some help figuring out which line it is. The leaking line is under the green tab in the picture. Does anybody know which lines those are? BTW this is an Acura TL 2007 3.2L and the picture shows the back side of the engine bay towards the firewall. The white area is the brake fluid reservoir (just for reference). If anyone knows those lines under the green tab, it would help a lot! Thanks.
Those are hard brake lines! Make sure they are replaced properly!
h Hey! So I retraced my leak and realized the problem isn't the brake lines. Instead there is a line connected to what I circled in my image. Would you be able to identify this?
Power steering line. If it's rubber hose it's return, if solid then it's pressure / supply. In first case it can be replaced with any decent quality PS hose, if second get the oem line.
Just a side note - return line will change from steel to rubber line in couple spots, but will use standard spring or screw clamps. High pressure goes straight from power steering pump and is noticeably thicker.
It might had rusted out on the nut that threads into the rack and pinion. Any shop with brake line tools can fix that is it's low pressure line.
Hey all, I previously had a post in which was answered however I realized I was wrong. I retraced my leak and noticed that it was in fact coming from another area. Attached is where the leak is actually coming from. Please be sure to ZOOM IN because the arrow points to a line and if you don't zoom in you can't see it. Anyways that line is leaking towards to back (cant see in the picture because I can't reach it). If anyone would be able to identify the circled metal and the line would be lots of help!
For reference, this picture is towards the back by the firewall and the green clip is holding the brake lines. The leak is not the brake lines but instead it is a line beneath the brake lines attached to that metal thing. Thanks!

It seems like Peter6 answered your question, but given that you re-posted it, I'm assuming you are still not sure of the answer.
The item you circled in white is where the steering wheel column connects to the rack and pinion. See item #1 in the attached image below.
Your leak is one of the 4 lines also highlighted in that image. Keep in mind, two of those lines (#4 and #5) travel aft and under to connect to the drivers side of your item circled in white.
I'm also attaching an image of that area taken from my car (2005 AT) for reference as well as a generic image of a rack and pinion for a TL. Both seem more clear than your image. Hope it helps.
I've pinpointed the problem a bit but I can't quite find the exact part. That is the leaking line, however, in diagram on the Acura website I don't want to get the wrong part and as peter mentioned above it could be the rusted nut which in fact is wet as well as the line. So I'll be getting the nut (if you know the size let me know!) and whichever line that is. I believe it is the highlighted line in the diagram posted below, however if I am wrong let me know. Also if you know the name of that line it would be helpful!

IMHO, the line in yellow above is not the same one you circled in your picture. The item you highlighted in yellow is line #5 in my attachment above. The line you want is #2 in my attachment.
I think the confusion comes from the fact that your leaking line (#2 in my attachment) is metal. On my car, line #2 is rubber. In Peter6's post, he mentions the return line (#2) is rubber. On your car, line #2 is metal.
In the link below to bernardi auto parts, the line you want is marked 5, it is metal, and it is called Pipe A, Return (10MM). The part number is 53720-SEP-A00. On my car, that line is supplied with the hose labeled 32 in that bernardi link. I'm not sure why, but it may have to do with a power steering recall that I vaguely remember in 2008. Maybe some other member can clarify.

Thanks a lot red! You have helped tremendously. I just have one last question! In Peter's reply, he almost mentioned the rusted nut could be the problem. I was wondering if you knew anything about where the line marked #5 (in the link you sent me) connects to. There are multiple nuts that also are semi wet and that could be due to the fact of what Peter said or that the line leaked onto the nut.
With the link that you sent me would it be smart to just replace those nuts? Or should I replace the entire piece in which the pipes run into (which you cannot see from my pictures but just think the other end). I'm not sure with the diagram of which to purchase for the metal piece that holds the nuts and pipes into place and which nuts (assuming that I should change the nut and metal piece).

Part number 53720-SEP-A00 connects to the rack and pinion assembly inside the white rectangle in your photo above. On the other side, it connects to a hose (53734-SEP-A01) somewhere near the middle of the car.

I think the nuts are part of the metal line 53720-SEP-A00. I'm attaching an image for line #3 in my original image. The end should be similar to the metal fitting you need.
