Hey!

I just started to have some problems with my 2007 Acura Tl. The lights started to flicker on the exterior and interior of the car. All of the lights on the exterior flicker front headlights, amber, side markers, license plate lights etc. On the interior is everything except the dash where the speedometer is. I need help finding out what the problem is and wondering if you guys can point me in some kind of direction please! The flickering of the lights has gotten to a point where its noticeable. The car does not have a problem starting up etc. Did check the batter and it fine. I do have LED lights installed in the interior, doors, head lamps and visors which I changed myself. I also do have 6000k HID system which includes 2 digital ballasts which are used for the fog lights. This problem happened much after the install of these LED+HID lights. I did notice some minor flickering about two years ago but recently this month has gone pretty crazy. Should remove the HID+ LED lights? replace the starter/ power relay? I'm pretty sure the HID system is not connected directly to the battery. This sucks! hope you guys can help me out, Don't know what to do. Thanks!!

 

If the flickering is only when the engine is on, it is more than likely related to the charging system.

 

Yes the flickering is only when the engine is on. When its off the lights are fine. Change the alternator?

 

I don't know enough about the details of our charging system...but I know in past cars it was the Voltage Regulator which was the pulsing culprit. Some cars that is integrated into the alternator and on others it is external. Hopefully others will be along that can chime in on those details for sure.
