Radio Problem

Hello everyone, I have a 2007 base TL and my radio stopped working yesterday. It works fine when only the battery is on but when the engine is on, after like 10 seconds, the speaker will make a popping sound and the audio would go out. Same thing when it's on aux. I'm not sure if it does the same to the cd or cassette player but I don't use them anyways. Does anyone have a similar problem or a fix for it? Here's a video of it:

Found this searching Google in another forum:

The "POP" and 15 second delay is an internal circuit breaker in your audio unit tripping, and the unit going in to protect mode. When you turn the car off and turn it on, it resets the internal breaker.

The simple fix is that you need a new audio unit. You either have a shorted op amp, or capacitor inside the amplifier section.

So you're saying the easiest way to fix it is to get a new radio unit? And if you were to give an estimate of the price to fix, how much would it be?

If you want it fixed, send it off to alpine OR try your luck through the dealership. It may cost you about $400.00.
There are local places (depending where you are) that might be able to fix them to. Look online or around in your area for audio repair places & check with some of them. If nothing else to price shop a little. & you might find someone local to do it cheaper
