07-08 TL's back up cam manual switch issue

Ok so i installed this mod months ago and really dont use all that much while driving but had a work buddy in the car other day and as we are driving along at lunch i flip on the back up cam for a few mins. While its cool, after i turn it off i notice my navi is off.. i mean like all confused showing me in an area prob 1/2-1 mile away and shows me facing another direction. After a few more mins its got me back on point so no biggie. Was just curious if others with the manual on off switch ever noticed this issue or if not maybe would go flip their cam on and drive a few miles and then shut it off and lmk if this happens to you. Anyone have an idea as to why this happens? My guess is that the navi brain thinks the car is in reverse but the gps antenna showing car is going forward so its tracking you in that aspect and throwing everything off.. i maybe way off. Curiosity strikes me at will so i came here to see what others may think..

Also, do those of u that have a Doms unit ever notice this issue?

Is it reproducible every time? Did you start the trip in a garage or someplace covered where the car could not see any satellites?
I have the NavTool with the tailgater switch---no problems like this.

Yes everytime! Trip started out in the open. OR it happens say im driving down the road and flip on switch for cam, and drive for a min even being on and flip it off... its screwed up again.. shows me in the right area but further back than i am. After a few mins it adjusts accordingly. Very strange its as if the gps is shut off or loses its memory.

I specifically tried mine today and again had no issues. Mine has the external NavTool, though. Different setup from you.
Good luck!
