'06 TL transmission feels like crap in D, but drives proper in L

Hi there everyone just got my rebuilt transmission in the 06 TL, but for some reason when driving around in Drive, it feels like shit and doesn't accelerate too well at WOT. I also can't put it in Manuel to sportshift (even the gear numbers don't show up in the dash). What could it be? Car feels fine in L then I have to shift up. Also I've only driven this car about 3 miles then let it sit, I really do not want to try and break in the transmission with this issue going on.

Take it back to the shop and have them check it out. If it isn't working the solution is up to the shop.

That's an obvious sign the shop didn't do something correctly. It's not your fault, let them fix it.

I'm taking it back Monday, just hate how time isn't on my side. It was more of a "what's your experience involving this" type thread. Thanks anyway.

I wouldn't spend a second worrying about it before I took it right back to the shop. How much did you pay for the rebuild? Hopefully you paid in credit card.

My uncle paid for my cousin's Grand Prix to get a transmission rebuild in California. Well when my uncle went down to visit her a few days later to drive the car back to Indiana it was shifting really crazy. The guy at the shop said oh it's supposed to feel that way and wouldn't fix it. To make a long story short, my uncle got the transmission rebuilt again here in Indiana and called the credit card company to refund his money. He got all his money back and now the guy and the tranny shop got what he deserved.

Nope cash. It's currently over there now, so just waiting for the word. The guy is also putting in my XLR8 Mounts, transmission mount, 1st solenoid and 2nd solenoid switches. I paid 2500 with a 2 year warrenty.

Well good thing it has a warranty. Hopefully it's a reputable shop. Keep us posted on what was wrong with it when the shop gets it fixed.
