'04 v '08
I'm considering trading in my 04 with almost 225k miles on it for an 08 with 62k miles. Am I stupid to expect the same incredible run I've had with my 04? Put another way, is anyone aware of any extra service issues with 07 and 08 models that I should watch out for? For instance, I remember reading that I should stay away from Nav because if it goes out it takes out a lot of the instruments and it is expensive to replace.
It seems that a lot of the service issues we run in to come down to luck and I need to keep my luck going for another 9 years! I'm trying to determine if I've been dodging bullets or this is a good path to get back on.
Thanks for your experience and thoughts,

no. your car is the same as the 08.
No special or extra included maintenance.
However, if the previous owner didnt take care of the car; you could run into potential problems.
and also, i think its silly to stay away from nav because it could possibly go out.....
EVERYTHING In the car could possibly go out...silly

Garmin...$150. Nav is great, but for $1000+ I can live without it. Hell I'm 59 yo and first Nav car my wife and I have had is her '13 CR-V. She wanted it and you know what they say about momma being happy.

Ask if you can swap the the gas cap and EVAP canister valve (half kidding) but other than that I came to the same conclusion 2x and could have reasonable bought any car.

If it were me, I'd retire old Bessie before a major issue--250K is a pretty darn good run. The '08 is low mileage, and has a much better transmission. Have it inspected, check out the Carfax records to make sure it is what it appears to be, and enjoy!
