Got a 04 Auto, I have a issue where the tranny is fine but the issue only happens when WOT going into 5th, Once it shifts from 4th to 5th the rpm locks at 4-5k depending on how WOT i am, Even if i let go off the gas it freezes holds for about a second and a half then drops or vice versa I hold the gas to the floor and it shifts holds rpm then rehooks, It's very weird. Never experienced this before but if anyone has any solutions or similar issues let me know,

Changed Pressure Switches
FBO (Don't think that's a issue)
Changed oil and filter on rebuilt trans not even 2k miles on it. I'm thinking it's a engine issue

5th is probably on it's way out, or the fluid is really hot and isn't allowing proper function in 5th gear at WOT. Aren't you doing like 120+ to get into 5th at WOT?

 

I'm at about 100 5th wot, It was a pressure switch that was the issue, They weren't oem pressure switches
