Hey, has anyone had trouble with their AC sometimes not firing up?.. When starting the car it will either start blowing, or sometimes it wont.. When it doesn't after while driving it might kick in after a while.. When it works it's ice cold!.. Any ideas?..

 

sound like your blower unit is an issue an not your A/C system, reason for it get cold when the fan decide to blow is very simple because A/C is accumulated at the low side radiator but no fan is deliver that cold air therefore it keep accumulate until the blower decide to work then all of that cold air rush into the cabin.

 

Do the self test on the Climate control and it will tell you if everything is working or not. If it throws a code, post it up so people can tell you where to look

 

Definitely sounds like a problem with the blower motor itself. Maybe a loose connection?
