don't heat gun it too much as the pattern would look messed up.

I think, because you have a light colored car, it will be too much texture and color difference and end up looking busy.

I like the idea of CF letters for the front bumper. Fully blacking out the front grille might be a bit overkill since your car is a light color. Why not wrap the chrome trim on the back first and see how it flows overall with the plast-dip grill, CF acura inserts, and rear CF trim. See how it goes from there.

BTW, feel free to make two sets of those CF letter inserts lmao

I did this with gloss black about 6 months ago I guess and now it has 1 rock chip. I'll probably lay another piece on top to fix it. Overall it holds up well.

haha there is a rumor going on here that there might be a vendor who might be making some domed ones so i am gonna wait a little with the bumper inserts.
But still not sure what I wanna do about the grill. I tried taking off that silver piece from the trunk when I was doing my cold cathode license plate light but one screw just wouldn't budge and I didn't want to strip it. I was gonna experiment with the CF vinyl on there. I might just do the hood trip piece just to see how it might look.

Yea I don't know how I feel about this. I did a fast shitty job so don't mind the corners. It doesn't look bad, I can't say that it does but I don't know if I like it more silver or wrapped. I didn't wanna try and take off the bottom piece so just imagine what it would look like

maybe it would look good if the letters were the same vinyl

I like the look Myron. You might do the "V" part of the grill to finish off the look.

oh I took it off already but thanks, I actually don't mind it, I just have to do a better job. It was just for testing purposes. But i might do it again in the summer together with the "V" part too. I don't know if I can even take the V part off without taking off the bumper so didn't do it at this time.

O rly?!?!?! A possible vendor making domed bumper inserts? I'd be down for that.

Looks like you'll have to remove the bumper to take off the v trim
https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/mesh-grille-mod-583095/

It looks good. I would definitely like to see the v trim wrapped too. Is it easy to tell from far away the crossbar isn't CF? Or does it blend in nicely?

yea someone said there might be something in the works about the domed letters.

unfortunately I couldn't look at it from far away as the car is in the garage and there was a wall right behind me. That's why all the pics are from so close. I am liking the contrast tho, because the vinyl is not all that glossy in normal light. Look at the first picture, that's what it looks like in normal light (under florescent light in the garage). Other pictures where it's really glossy looking it's because of the flash being 30cm away from it.

I am starting to like it more and more the more I look at it. I will definitely look into taking off the V part too this summer and wrapping that too. Well trying too, it's hard working with the vinyl. I never did it before so I am so noob at it.

Actually, you can reach under the bumper to push it out...OR, can take a look at this extra one I have and show you which side to put the flathead screwdriver on...start at the V and work your way up...make sure hood is open as the top is under it when closed. Last time I did this I took off the "V" in the dealer parking lot.

Also, I think the carbon fiber looks great. Did you think of using Silver Carbon Fiber? that's what I started typing but my keyboard at home ran out of battery. Hence the "UNLES" in my prev. post.

Oh AND, the rear trim. You can actually just pop it off and break off the tabs with the screws on it. I didn't know it was screwed in the first time I took it off and I broke them. Now, it's held on with 5 pieces of double sided tape. Has been well over a year and doesn't budge.

Oh that would be great if I didn't have to take the bumper off to get the V out. There is just so much sand and grime under the car that all the clips are caked on there and pretty much impossible to take off.

I will toy around with the idea of silver CF. When I look at the pictures I am liking it more and more. I think I will actually do this when it's a little nicer out. I just suck with the vinyl so I don't know how that will turn out.

I was trying to get the silver V off without removing the bumper, and I had all the clips loose but it was still hanging on at the top on both sides. The hood was up of course. Is it just clipped at the top as well? I don't remember anymore from when I had it all apart.

it is clipped at the very top too...
on the sides of the top, of course...
clip is pushed from the outside of the V...
did you have the hood up? the plastic trim around the latch MAY hold the top down.
