Winter Beast Mode ENGAGED

Winter Beast Mode ENGAGED-xmhw0.jpg

Powdercoated stock wheels with General Altimax Arctic 235-45-17s. The car feels a lot more "floaty" compared to the 18" A-Specs with summer tires, as expected. A bit reminiscent of my old 1989 Grand Marquis in the turns. It certainly isn't awe-inspiring but I just have to get used to it. The tires are not losing traction, there is just more of a squishy feeling in the turns that I'm not accustomed to.

Haha srsly... not ready for the snow to begin again.

I'm wondering if I should put the stock hood back on for the winter... maybe get it painted black up the center to keep the theme up.

stockies for winter crew =)

And yes the stockies are a lot floatier than the A-Specs.
Absorbs cracks and bumps way better.

Here's hoping for very little snow this winter. I shoveled too much the last 2 years.

How much did you pay for those tires? I need some decent snow tires badly, but I don't want to pay $200/tire...

Still love the paint job on the hood. Have you considered during the roof?

Total came just shy of $600 through tirerack, including shipping. So $150 a tire all told.

Thanks! I still love it too. It is fun walking to your car in a parking lot thinking "damn that looks good!" I was planning on doing the roof with DeathMetal but we never managed to get together this summer. Now I'm thinking it might be too cold to apply the vinyl. I definitely want to do the roof black though.

Seriously... I'm hitting the limit of communities that I can keep up with and Starcraft 2 steals most of my time.
