At the prompting of a few on the board, I am starting a progress thread.

My name is John. I am an ass hole. I've been a car guy all my life. I have a beautiful wife and two sons. Most of my projects have been major builds (frame up) so this will be a little different for me to mod a daily driver. I have a background in paint and body work, and do all my paint work myself) so don't be afraid to suggest exterior or paint mods that others would shy away from. The car is an '06 TL Navi. Anthracite exterior with Ebony interior. My wife drives the car daily. Progress will be slow as I have a problem buying guns lately....

Mods to date:

15% Tint
Moleskin
12" Polk audio sub
Mid muffler delete
Intake resonator delete and fresh air (velocity stack) mod
Drop in K&N Filter
Navi Hack
Aspec front lip. Purchased from a forum member as NBP and painted to match. (I painted the whole lip apposed to having the darker flat area in an effort to be a little "different".

Wish list:


Moar Low....probably just springs for me.
18" or 19" Wheels. I already have some picked out, so stay tuned.
More exhaust mods.
Tail mods coming.
Headlight mods coming.
Open to other suggestions........

I hate armadillos and am currently in the middle of a personal war on them. It is slow going since the enemy is currently out of re-enforcements in my area.

I am allergic to Sloths, Penguins, Crabs, Robots, Sharks milk (you know....from Sharksbreasts), and energy drinks (especially Rockstar)!

I'm wishing I would have photo-documented all of my "free" and "lame" mods as I did them.... :ohwell:

 

The entire road was like that a few weeks ago..... Apparently there is a hunting camp down there and they must have had a lot of traffic recently.

I have quite a few roads like that very near my house......this one is my favorite. I used to take my V8 powered RX-7 down there for photo shoots all the time. I lost almost every picture from that car build in a hard drive crash and my CD that had the back ups on it was used as a Frisbee by my oldest son without me being made aware untill it was too late. Here are a few of the surviving pics from just before I sold it. All my hi-res were lost....

Probably due to growing family or need for money.
Aaron approves of the paint on that thing though. It must have been silly powerful though...

 

I achieved all my goals with it and got bored.

Low 11 seconds in the quarter mile. Regular gas. Daily driven. 28 mpg. Placed in top 3 in a few local car shows.


I wasn't very happy with some of the decisions I made with it either.

I sold it to fund the construction of my garage. To the left of the house in the one pic there is now a 36 X 30 shop. I'll take that trade.
