VIDEO: Tail-light signal LEDs
A quick video of how it can look with those signals updated with LEDs. Nice and BRIGHT. You can also see my roof spoiler and Type-S trim at different angles. A lil Chicago musik for ya.

Looks sweet. If only we had a comparison between before and after. Either way, it seems like it's WAY brighter. I saw a TL today (there aren't many around here) and its lights didn't look quite like that. Nice work, dude!

Thank you.....the color is unique in that you don't see it from other manufacturers. But it isn't unique because every other TL is in the same freakin color! Still love it though and the modded cars look so good in it.
The music is Chicago style!! My tribute. Love that city!!!

That's right man, there's a thread on here somewhere and I was asking him about it. I wanted to ensure they blink AMBER and not dark orange and he insists they really light up bright amber. I know a regular amber bulb would definitely end up dark orange in a red housing. Maybe LEDs are different?? It was hard to tell by his pics and videos but he says I'd really only know by seeing it in person. Interesting because I would like to look into that so it matches my front switchback LEDs. HOTT!

Do you have any pointer for me for that Type-S trunk trim?
I tried installing mine last weekend, the center bow's out because there is no screw there to hold it down. How did you get yours to say on properly? I was trying to glue it in but didn't have enough time to let the glue dry. (It was an oil based contact cement).
Now the trim is just sitting on my desk... waiting...

I haven't expanded my interest into turn-signal modding yet, but that looked real good right there!

I honestly don't remember where I bought the bulbs but they were from Ebay. They were the best bulbs at the time with 26 LEDs (unheard of at that time) and they use high-flux LEDs hence their 1" diameter size. I held off 6 months on installing them because I realized that the opening had to be enlarged. It was worth it because they ended up being nice and BRIGHT. Nowadays the LEDs are slimmer design and comparable in brightness so there is more selection.
Thanks Darksom, you should look into LEDs in all corners too, you'll love em. The song is Lupe's BTW! I ain't from Chicago either, just lived there for a year. I feel like goin back, great city!
My Type-S trim is bowing too right now. It was good when I first had it on but the weather started to get cold around then. I tried fixing it twice, I have to come up with a better solution. I initially used 3M tape by itself. I will come up with something when it warms up.

I did the LED mod a while ago. I just did my A-SPec kit in December.
My bulb is red not amber.......I wanna try amber though, I've been reading about how it will light up amber even through the red housing. Sounds cool.

I'm planning to get some amber LED signals for the rear also. I saw one in Vancouver the other day and it looked really nice in person.
but it all depends, I might be getting a new car soon so I don't wanna put too much into the TL and save up the money for my new car.

I'm glad I have the resistors, they've been working like a charm. But I guess you can save time, money and energy without them, whatever floats your boat.
