Looked great, never had a problem with it. The properly blacked-out lights look MUCH better though.
Do it right the first time and mod them yourself or have AckTL05 do a set for you

Worked good for me. I tinted mine lighter than most people though.

VHT Nightshades is not easy to work with. This stuff has actually been around for YEARS. I first used them on a car in 1992. I was trying to get a light coat. But noticed two issues: One that it has a tendency to drip so you have to be careful and patient. The other thing is it has a matte finish once it dries which was totally not the look I was going for. Because I kept trying to cover dripped areas and even out unevenly sprayed areas I ended up going WAY too dark. Once it dried I suddenly had a change of heart and just wanted to remove it totally. I tried all kind of stuff desperately. Guess what worked? Nail polish remover. Took it all off with a bit of work and when I was done it looked stock, as if I had never used it.
I used Nightshades on my BMW in 2004 with much better results but I used it lightly just on the turn signals leaving the rest alone. That turned out good.
When it came to the TL I was not going to play with nightshades. It would be either get it done pro by a bodyshop or do a vinyl overlay. I went overlays because they are easily revertible to stock if need be and look just like sprayed ones anyways. I with light smoked Rockblockers with matching overlays for the rear sidemarkers. Really high quality stuff, thicker mil spec than the standard overlays out there. I don't think they are sold anymore. 8yrs on the car now, looking as good as new, very happy with that decision.
06tl4life, yours came out AWESOME. If you are gonna do nightshades you gotta clear/wet sand them. Yes, they are done light, but that's actually what looks best. IMO they shouldn't be too dark, and that is not safe anyways.
I see cars on the road with uneven poorly done nightshades all the time. It cheapens and ages the look of the car and makes it look obviously a homemade job. Gotta do them right or not at all.
