that would be a good way to tell if its a caliper or the rotors.. i get the shaking throughout the whole car at cetain speeds and if i pull up on the emergency brake slightly the feeling is stronger. thats how i diagnosed mine Austin

You have Brakemotive's also, right?

I'm really not sure if it's just because they're drilled & slotted or it's it's a real problem.

It kind of annoys me though, makes me feel like something is wrong with them.

What the...
I was thinkin of getting brakemotive
And what is chopping sound

Can we use ceramic pads with our oem rotors?

Pads won't give vibration if you ask me.
One of the front rotors are bent is my guess

Of course its a problem. Car vibrates with a brand new set

nothing wrong with them. I love the brakemotive rotors since i put them on 8 months ago. I had the same problem it sounds like Austin is having. My emergency brake was just too tight and making contact with the inside of the rear rotor causing the vibration.

Glenn, he says its the front.
Otherwise yeah ebrake might be an issue or maybe lug nuts/bolts are too long

From front
Has vibration
All i guess is rotots

Anil, factory mistake?

If it is...would resurfecing solve it?

Glenn could be right. I shall test out the e-brake tonight on the way home.

MEKO, a lot of people are really happy with them, don't let me discourage you from buying them.

The chopping sound is the pad passing over the drills and slots of the rotor making a somewhat chop noise. That slight space between the rotor and pad makes the noise.

^ a lot of people were getting the chopping because they were using hawk pads or others that arent chamfered. The pads that come with the kit are chamfered and dont have the chopping noise

^^^ aah could be....

i think the chopping noise is a result of drilled rotors and non chamfered pads....

I am running hawk hps with slotted rotors and I do not get any chopping noise....the first brake in the morning squeals like a bish but then its all good

I had the chopping with the cmax pads...but I'll end up grinding off the edges of the other ones to get rid of it when I do my next brake job.

Hey, I know you don't have brakemotive swoosh, but just wanted to confirm that the initial squeals on drilled and/or slotted rotors is normal. My brakemotive do that right when I am pulling away from somewhere usually. Hate it, but I guess it happens.

Bro I don't even want to know what my camber would be if I had maxed these out.

Stay tuned for a little update next week. Got some new fog bulbs!

Also want to try and put my blank rotors back on this Sunday and figure out if that eliminates my noise/vibration problem.

Yeah, gonna try the fronts first and see if that eliminates the problem, if so, I'll contact Sean and get new fronts.

Getting camber fixed tomorrow. Gonna make it match with the fronts (-1.5)

Then Sunday I put the OEM blank rotors back on and hopefully the caliper covers.

Are you painting them finally? The covers?!?
What are you going to do if removing the brakemotive rotors fixes your problem? start at the rear, drive around, that way at least you'll know...
AND, look for what you might have not put back together correctly before swapping, maybe you'll find something strange with your ebrake setup?

Yes I plan on painting them black.

I assume you mean "doesn't fix the problem?"

If it's not the front I'll move to the rear rotors, if I still have it I'll have to look for something else
