Yeah but most of the close ups I didn't have my tripod. So if I used a smaller aperture I'd be screwed.

With aperture, the smaller the number, the bigger the hole.

So F2.8 will have the aperture wide open, F22 would make it a very small aperture, thus giving you a longer depth of field.

I try to. No lie my first few shots with that Macro were insane. I took a pic of a flower and the top of the um...stems? in the middle of the flower were in focus but leading down to the bottom of the flower was out of focus. That's LESS than an inch.

yeah man I totally feel you. I was actually doing some shots for a buddy...of his....um....product.... so I can't post it, but HOLY FRUSTRATING. taking something that's an inch long is very hard. but I was using a 55-200...effectively a 350 focal length on my camera.

once my upload shit is finished I'll show you some 'outtakes' since those really show how small my 50mm lens is. (the focus area or whatever)

it's the only lens I have with enough focus to get as close as I needed. the kit lens I have is kind of shitty, even though the mm would be right...

the 50mm lens far back focus is still like 1.8 ft so that doesn't work either lol. I'll link you one in the chat in a minute

I do, most of those were just walking around my brother's property though. Also read above posts about my macro lens.

So 1st update......

Aem v2 was a bitch to install with the front bumper left on....hint.....remove bumper!!!
The air filter fitment sucks with the fog lights.....hint.....get a smaller filter.
Results.......sick sound!!!!!!! Love it! I had to put aftermarket chromes on it until I get my other rims so I can't see any change except for the feel of wheels that are extremely heavy.

P2R spacer will go on this weekend and I will let ya know on that.

I'm ordering a catback xlr8 soon so I can keep u informed on that progress also.

Beautiful pics by the way

VLEDS.com just posted a 15% discount for memorial weekend, I really want the DRL harness, should I pull the trigger?

Actually...their 25% code is still available...

Meh. I like the round DRL housings in the 07-08 models more than the square ones so I wouldn't want to draw attention to them. Just my of course.

Plus you should be putting that money towards coils and A-Spec kit

If a 15%-off coupon is the difference between affording and not affording something, you don't need to be modding a car

No offense of course. That comment is from someone who ran down their bank account multiple times buying shit for my car. It's just not worth it.

I think I'm going to seize your funds until you do this modding thing correctly

Next should be drop and then A-Spec kit. Wait and do headlights and such after the big stuff is done.

I am, I am.

Once they tell me the rims have been shipped I'm gonna buy the tires. Around $600.

Then once I regain funds (lol) I'll buy the coils and probably A-Spec at the same time. Then maybe I can get my brother to help me do both.

Then after that I can start buying the lighting mods.

Next update.....

P2R installed........no performance change but very minor sound change.....a little deeper.

Hint......if you get the v2 cai and the p2r install them together. Prevent possible damage having to loosen up bolts on the intake.

Hoping to have rv6 jpipe installed Tuesday. Gonna ride that for a week or so before I order my catback and either hfc or deletes. Will keep ya posted.

Side note.......its hard for me to save for the major mods too. I like seeing progress constantly vs a major way down the road.....but......the majors are more rewarding when done! Just my thoughts.

I like constant updates too but it's better for me to do this now, especially since the A-Spec won't be around for too much longer. Once I get these few mods done I'll be moving to more affordable ones and I can do more in a shorter amount of time.

Next update for ya......

Rv6 jpipe installed today....it rained so couldn't really check gains.

Got nicer during the evening. Ran it semi hard a few times....nothing major in my opinion.
Biggest thing I saw was the weight change. Held the old jpipe...heavy as crap.
lots lighter on the rv6. Best I can say right now is definitely a weight loss but not performance gain. Should know better in the next day or so when I run it harder.

Next update will either be the xlr8 catback system or a custom magnaflow system with several deletes. Kinda weary tho BC its not tuned for the tl.....just custom. Will keep ya updated

Thanks for updating me again give some time for the j-pipe to be broken in, it'll probably be better after a little driving. Looking forward to more updates!

I always reset my ECU after a mod and let it relearn the idle process....it helps with feeling the gains....

again I constantly monitor my timing advance and AFR so i know my car is not sluggish, hence the gains i feel are from the mod themselves....
