Don't pay any mind to Justin, he likes to day dream that his TL is a UA7

I think you should be fine with the drop.

thx for the input guys.. i was trying to sell the eibach springs on the black market awhile back but nobody wanted to buy it... i even lowered the price to about $50 below retail price but still no bite. i had pictures of it sealed up and unopened and everything

this is why it is sitting in my room

and yes my frame was scraped up and not my jpipe/exhaust. when i had my xlr8 exhaust installed i saw the fresh scrape marks on my frame... think white on black

you're over exaggerating bro lol. I drive through NJ, NY. through bridges TO MA where my parents live and then back through it all. I am dropped 2.5 inches you learn how to drive and the roads are no excuse. You will be fine it just takes a day or 2 to get accustomed to. You just learn how low your car is and how to drive. There is no reason your subframe should have scraped since you are at stock height. If it scraped that means you are driving stupidly.

BREATHEEE MAN BREATHEEEEEE. lmao I don't have a UA7 but I am pretty sure I am more knowledgeable and have more mods than MANY UA7 owners. Justin has mods too and can give his input on shit like pcd installs and things hes experienced. (he can be sarcastic at times from what ive seen in threads but who cares its all fun and games lol)

I say drop it. Although I would go more than 1 inch lol but try it and see what you like. You already have them.

I already want coils now just to tuck a hair but am waiting to get my rims first to see where I want to go.

I have been driving lowered trucks and honda's since '96 so yeah its all about slow and low.

Although fast and low is way more fun hahaha.

clean car and welcome to the club.

I saw quite a few TL's from Florida to New Mexico and only saw 1 type S in CBP. Too bad was in my Honda minivan. None were modded that I could see.

Ok so you wanted to know who was modding.

<----- This guy

Just got my RV6 Jpipe and TruDualExhaust installed and WOW is all I can say. Gonna go drive it some more now that I am cleaned up. Only got it around the block to bring car out front and digging it.

Also did first oil change

And installed switchbacks (will be soldering relay shortly)

To do list for tomorrow. Install Progress RSB (waiting on new Honda end links)
Change tranny fluid over to GM syncromesh.

I burned my clutch bad on my only run down the quarter mile so clutch may be on the list for when it gets cooler outside.

Wish I could drive more at night to really enjoy my led's but o well.

Also got 840 rds of 5.56 62gr green tips in the mail today on 10 rd stripper clips haha.

Waiting on Acura window visors and different lug nuts as I broke my wheel lug lock (that sucks)

Will get pics later maybe but didn't take any of the exhaust install because quite frankly I have done enough of that to not want to do write ups or pics.

Enjoy

How do you know if you dont like it, without ever trying it?

this is the price we pay, when we modify or deviate certain aspects away from stock.
if its not to your liking, revert back to stock....

but I find thats the whole point of modding. finding something different/better than stock!

Guys, if you keep up with this kind of personal bickering, I'll just close this thread and we'll call it a day.

I won't mention names, but if members here continue to pick on other members and basically dare others into pissing matches, you'll receive a summer vacation.

It's very discouraging to read all of the pissing, bickering and blatant negativism in the 3G TL forum lately (again, you know who you are). It's disrespectful to other members and just not necessary. If you're tired of questions that you deem "unnecessary" or "stupid" or "lame"---just don't answer.

The pissing matches have to stop.......

Since I removed the old exhaust as a whole (shameless plug)
https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/07-type-s-oem-exhaust-will-part-828925/

It was actually not that hard. The back bank was a little sticky from the flex pipe settling during shipping but all in all everything went on fine. I have to re-tighten some clamps today but love the sound. Its quiet actually with a way better tone.

If you were removing - replacing just the j-pipe I would say it could get fun. Depending on how bad the 3rd cat nuts are. But RV6 comes with new gaskets hardware so it really shouldn't be that bad.

From start to finish (jacking car up to back on the ground) this took me about 3 hours maybe a hair more but it was 105 outside when I did it also and had to use floor jacks/stands so did alot of crawling on ground.
Plus I changed oil and installed switchbacks with car in air lol.

I need to get pics onto computer but not on my puter so should have pics up later today maybe. My car will be on the lift at honda to change MTF and put on RSB since had to order new endlinks-nuts.

And yes everyone needs to leave the riff out due to this being the only chill thread that we can basically ramble on about our S's.

^ Sauceja's been busy!!!^ I'm in for pics!

I posted this newest mod in my progress thread, but I figured I'd update here as well.

I finally got around to blacking out my headlights properly...Well, got around to paying to have them done properly anyway. I figured they'd turn out better if they were done by someone who knew what they were doing.

I'm thrilled with the result!

I like it better without the orange there. Looks good.

We just switched to 2 weeks on 1 week off and I work 24 hours on call so I may not be able to post pics for 2 weeks as I just came back to work. Sucks but potential to make a shit-ton of money that and I don't have a choice as the big bosses decided to change the schedule.

Trying to sell stock exhaust to save up for rims.
O and got a RV6 front strut bar coming in as well lol.

Will get pics up when I can actually wash it without a random and unannounced rain storm coming in and F'ing it all up 45 minutes after washing my car.
