You'll find with time attacks that some people hate them...some people love them.
I am one of the ones that love them. Adds a nice touch to the red accents of the Type-S

But when you put a "DIY" in the title...people are gonna wonder where the DIY is.. Do you have a quick write up on doing this?

Here is my idea for a time attack wheel...not sure if the red would go well with my WDP though

DIY- Ok first of all I took of one tire at a time, I used masing tape to cover up the tire so no Paint gets on it, and Masking tape to cover up the whole middle part of the Rim..so the Lip is just visible..then I got 600 Grit sandpaper and sanded the lip down, the used Red spray paint, DUPLICOLOR...and did 3 coats each rim...then did 2 coats of Clear Coat..waited 30 minutes and took off all the masking tape and slapped da tires back on..the sanding down part and taping everything up is a PITA

Oh yeah the brakes is a def too

I dont think duplicolor makes the red rim paint Might be wrong though...
I think it's probably engine paint

Man, you can take it as far as you want; sounds good - might look awesome. Somebody with NBP had their stock waffle wheels powder-coated black. It was sick!

You did a good job though. They look good even if you leave 'em just like you've got 'em.

The A-Spec's Black like that .... . Yeah, darksom1, you should hit that; stella would look good in those shoes.

From what I see, you didn't paint the rims black?
Just left it gun metal and painted the lip?

I thought of doing a red lip with black too, but I just stuck with full black.

Both the Type S and the A-Spec time attack color scheme looks extremely hot. Loving the color schemes. I'm thinking about trying it now. And yeah, where's the DIY?

No offence but I doubt it'll look nice, maybe cuz I don't like the stock 05 n under TL 5 spokes.

Hahaaha, 07+ TL's rims are nicer.

Since elkayem is too modest to repost his Black (Powder Coat) TL-S Wheels ....

And I've been thinking about those lugs .... Maybe make 'em black, so they "disappear". Then do the "A" symbol circle (not the "A" itself) in the same color red as the outer rim.

You'll end up with an "outer" Time Attack circle and an "inner" "A" circle.

If only we lived in the same area.
Or we could have a photoshoot of the two TL-S with the DIY wheels.

That would look awesome!
Now you need to drop your car, you have no idea how much better the stockers look with the dropped car.

I painted the wheels before I dropped it.
I kinda gave my baby the awkward look.
But when I once installed the suspension....
