I will be dropping in a couple of weeks. I have a spring compressor lined up. I am only gonna drop it about 1". I also need to line up a Greddy strut bar so I can install the Tien EDFC kit.

Does anyone have a link to where I can get the right strut bar? I need the one for the 03+ Accord, if I remember right.

I was just going to rent one from Autozone here in Rosenberg. Thanks, I'll let you now if that falls through.

I'd love to see what this looked like lowered 1". Did you ever end up lowering it? Pics?

Yes I have been baptized in the sweet zine waters. Didn't take long.

This is my first forum I've ever joined. It's been crazy the amount of help that is on here. It's really pointless to start a new thread or ask a question, especially about a 3G TL, since there is a 99% chance that it's already been discussed till everyone was blue in the face.

^since then, stew4HD moved onto a 4G TL then a TLX.

he never lowered it because he sold me the shocks that he was going to put on....
he was going to use Koni Yellows.
honestly, when I put them on, the car still looked stock and friends made fun of me...."oh he's "lowered"
cuz it didnt really change the way the car looked.

Yea, I would agree that Koni Yellow are not designed to lower the height rather be used with springs that lower the car. I think Koni recommends that you only use them on cars that are lowered 1.3", no more.

So I'm curious, what did the Knoi Yellow do to your ride quality and cornering? Did you notice any change? Also, were you using stock springs?

when I bought the car, I had just started my grown up job. so, trying to pay off and afford mods were pretty hard.

I had made up my mind in doing functional mods over form.

the koni yellows were perfect for what I wanted to do with the car. I paired them with the TL's Aspec springs.

as you can see, i paired the suspension with a wide sticky tire.

this allowed me to keep stock-like ride quality while UPPING the limit on cornering!
I also have a bigger rear sway bar.

sweeping freeway curves are no match and I can take them at speeds that would make you clench your butthole.
