The stance is first thing that's apparent about a car.
If you don't want to go with coilovers, springs are also a good alternative.

No problem bro! You've got some definite skills that need to be shared with everyone.
Got a few more mods on the go so we will link up soon time for sure.
We need to call out the other Toronto TL's to reach a TAC meet or something.

Just noticed that myself.
This should fix that.

Fast Forward 8 months and I am the proud owner of a WDP/Ebony Type-S 6MT.
I am in the progress of moving over my mods to the 6MT from my 5AT. (There are many...)

I never thought the day would come where I would sell my TL but it makes sense that it was to upgrade to a Type-S 6MT.

I've already switched over to GM Syncromesh with FM and fixed my 3rd gear issues.

Just received this in the mail last week which is going to be installed next week along with my new shift knob.
It is the Short Shifter kit made by Bardi on the TSX-Club forums.
It is a much more complete SS kit vs the CT which I felt was not a complete solution to the long OEM throws.
I'll also be doing the Slave Cylinder Mod as well so my shifts should become a lot more crisp and firm in addition to being shortened.

Now that I have to swap everything over I realize how many mods I did to my UA6 in the short time I had her.

I have ordered a few more goodies for my UA7 which I will reveal once they arrive.

I just received my new Canon S95 today so this time around I will be able to track my progress a lot better.
Also serves to make it easier to go back and see how I have progressed.
Mind you everything is probably going to get done within a short period of time again but at least I'll have more pictures to show this time around.

Surprisingly in my excitement of picking up the car I never took a picture with my iPhone.
I'll be taking some pictures with my new camera tomorrow so stay tuned folks.
I will also be posting pictures of how the SS looks with the new shift knob tomorrow.

Next to it being a 6MT the biggest difference I feel is with the Type-S seats.
They are so much more comfortable and bolstered in the right places.

Looking forward to seeing the progress of your Type-S =)

I'm looking for a S95 and found one for $300.
Might pick it up haha

Got held up at work so I didn't get a chance to get over to Speedstar.
I managed to get a picture of both TL's to hold you guys off until then :P
It's been rainy all day and dark so I wouldn't have had a chance to take any proper pictures today either way.

The Base rims are on the UA7 b/c I have my winters mounted on the base rims.
The Type-S Rims I think actually look better on my UA6 for some reason.

Maybe its b/c the car is dropped and it flows better with my white/black theme.

I am going to be opting for the Type-S Aspec Kit with the 04-06 Aspec Front Lip as the UA7 is looking quite naked and 4x4 at the moment.

Both cars are in need of a good wash so please refrain from advising me to either wash my car or to clean my tips.
I will be detailing the Exterior and Interior so it will be looking fresh and clean very soon.

Speedstar S2K & UA6 w/ Asimo Security System

Custom Tails & ATLP Base Installed

A sexy rear-end shot

The tip sits perfectly flush and I can't wait to see them shining.
Yes that is an NSX in the background

P.S These rims are going back up for sale again.
I will be posting more pictures up in the for sale thread linked

Yeah I think the ATLP Base looks much more badass vs the Quads.
Because the Type-S comes with Quad tips from the factory it the Base Tips are more unique.

I will be picking up the Aspec Kit come spring.

Yes that is a Type-S emblem because I now have a Type-S 6MT.
The first picture was just to illustrate what I did to my base TL.

Barid's Short Shifter derived from the TSX is one word is simply amazing!!
I have not tested out the Comptech SS option to compare between the two but this one is definitely built solid and shifts perfectly.
I got the extra bushings with it so it adds to the overall firmness of the shifts.

With nothing mathematical to back this up I would say this has decreased the throws by at least 40-50 % overall.
For those who were looking at a SS I would strongly recommend this unit.

I am going to be picking up a custom shift boot soon as the OEM one looks too stock for my liking.
At that time I will install it with a shift boot adapter to get rid of that nasty sag.
Dont mind the interior as I still have to find some downtime to do some detailing

The Skunk2 Shift knob compliments my interior well and continues the Red theme of the Type-S.
It has a solid feel to it and has a good weight to it for sure.

Aspec Suspension has come and gone already.
Coilover's are on but set at a conservative height for the time being.

Took some video's but had some issues with the auto-focus of the S95.
Will give it another go soon and put up some video's.
