Steven if you want spacers, go with the Ichiba V2. They already have built in studs.

Also, I'm sure AckTL05 or another vendor can find you a 07-08 Base front lip and pair that up with the rest of the kit!

Tyler, we tried a 1/2 inch spacer yesterday on my Type S. We found out that we need extended studs-that might be a problem.

And the Aspec Kit-I know Jaime did some extensive modifications to his front spoiler. That's what I'm looking for-one like that.

^^^ Yea, I think it was about 3 hours labor+alignment, so.....

UPDATE: The Type S drives better now. Originally, when I initially left the dealership, the driving was kind of "mushy", but that seems to have gone away. I did order a Camber Kit, which should be here Thursday. I'll get that install ASAP.

Steven, the drop looks awesome! FYI, I'm running Ichiba 15mm spacers all around. They are hubcentric, come with extended studs and would look great on your car.

I also did the 07-08 base front-end A-Spec conversion a couple years ago...do eet!

May 20th Update.

Eibach rear camber kit is now installed as of today.

Progress Rear Sway Bar arrived FedEx today and will hopefully be installed soon.

Bought LED bulbs for the license plate light. They arrived yesterday.

Everything is now here-almost completed. I'm anxious to get the Sway Bar installed.

He's saying that the Type-S emblem by the front sidemarkers has got to go. "Brodah" is brother with a Jamaican accent I guess.

Steven: You've inspired me to drop my TL too!

I've got a progress RSB on the way and I'm still deciding between the race or sport springs and if I should get a camber kit.

More pics?!

Welcome C! You are on the list, young squire! The Saturday Cruise will start at 6pm across the street from Jay Wolfe Acura in the Berbigilia parking lot.

Thanks Quana-I appreciate your kind words. I did the Sports Springs-I think the race springs drop you too low (I didn't want to slam and tuck it). I did get the Camber Kit installed on Friday. There are new pictures in My Garage. You can click on the name of my car in my signature to link to My Garage.

In the midst of all the springs excitement, I forgot to show you what else I did, but not to the car. And since I have no new Type S pics for you tonight (as originally hoped), I do have one more new thing for you.

When the Type S comes home tomorrow, she will have a new garage floor! Story...I just remodeled the kitchen and master bathroom of my house. I also painted the entire interior as well. A realtor pointed out that the garage is so clean, except for the floor (which is cracked, has divets and paint marks that won't come out). So I ordered a G-Floor from Sam's Club to finish off the look in the garage.

Steven I've been following your Thrend and all I could say SIMPLE and CLEAN that is why you got my attention. I read it once but could not remember who help you out when you did your headlights. My wife said that is the perfect drop that she like for her 04WDP. How's the ride? She hates bouncing a lot.....

Bearcat-yes, that is a tool box that you see. The Progress Rear Sway Bar will hopefully be in next week. It's still on backorder.

I'm thinking that these springs will "settle" alittle bit, yes?

^^^ C, thanks again! Buda is the guy that helped me with the headlights. I'll introduce you to him at the meet. Actually, if it wasn't for Buda, I couldn't have done any of my big mods. His technical/electrical expertise is invaluable. And he's just a great human being too.

Tell you wife thank you as well. The ride is now excellent! After the camber kit went on and it was aligned again, it rides as good as it ever did-back to Type S specs! No bounce whatsoever....

Final Update...

Buda and I put on the Progress Rear Sway Bar tonight. The difference in handling is amazing!!! I highly recommend the Progress RSB.

We also installed new LED bulbs for the license plates-nice touch!

AND-it looks like the springs have finally settled and lowered some more. I'll take pictures this weekend at our National Meet for an update of the stance.

Just when I thought I was done......

I know, I'll get bored and want to do something else...I was thinking about the window roll-up mod.....this is really a sick disease.

^^^ Still no Aspec Kit, 24! After the meet today, I'm still convinced that I'm not a Type S Aspec guy.

I wouldn't mind trying the Base TL Aspec lip though....

^^^ I know, I know....I'd LOVE to do the Base Lip conversion.

After this weekend's meet, it pretty much convinced me to get spacers though. I'm thinking 10's for the front and 15's for the rear....

If you have 235/45/17, It would look better with 15 and 20mm spacers.
I just bought 245/45/17 continental dws and the front with 15mm spacers looks like its sticking a little bit for my liking. After a few days though i got used to it and definitely would look a lot better if i have the same drop as you.

^^AB, I tried ordering the 245/45's in November and they were 3 months back ordered! So I did go with OEM sizing. I'm dropped now on H&R Sports Springs, so I was worrying about the spacers pushing the wheels/tires out too far and rubbing. I do not wan to roll fenders. We had a HUGE discussion on Sunday at the National Meet about what size spacers I need. It seemed like the consensus was 10's in the front and 15's on the back-just to be safe....what do you guys think?

Without rolling your fenders, 10 and 15 would be best. Personally I would roll the fenders and flush them out another 5mm

Steven I meant to ask you in person how you liked the RSB. You wrote that it's awesome but I wanted a demo

I'm betting my car back this week so hopefully it will be on soon.

^^^ It went on pretty straight forward-Buda and I did it.

The car just feels so much more complete, tight and more sure of itself. It feels much more sure of itself around turns plus at high speeds. It really completes any TL or Type S. This is really what a TL/Type S should feel like from the factory.

For $145, it was absolutely worth it.
