G-Floor? Care to explain Steven? Is it like a thick cover that you just throw on the ground? My parent's garage has nasty cracks in the concrete and looks like total ass.

Can't wait to see pics

^^^ Yes Tyler-that's it! You can go to Sam's Club.com and search under "garage flooring". It is 10'x22' in size (I got 2 of them) and it's 55 mil. in size. You just roll it out and trim to size, if needed.

I had the same situation as your parents garage. This looks a million percent better.

Garage looks good.

Is that small tool chest I spot along the wall?

Looks like the kind of garage where you could get right on the floor, crawl under a car and install a Rear Sway Bar.

Finally............

New picture!

We have been debating about a camber kit. The right rear tire is a -2.0 (spec is -1.5) The left rear tire is fine. So the question is....does it really need a camber kit-especially with new tires just installed 6 months ago.

Bearcat-yes, that is a tool box that you see. The Progress Rear Sway Bar will hopefully be in next week. It's still on backorder.

I'm thinking that these springs will "settle" alittle bit, yes?

I don't think that you will need the camber kit. I run about the same in camber, and the premature wear on the inside wheels is minimal. By the time it becomes an issue, the rest of the tread will be at the point where it will need to be replaced as well. I suggest giving it a week or so to settle, then schedule the four wheel alignment. I had the alignment done immediately the following day and discovered that I pretty much wasted my money as everything changed over that period. Your biggest enemy in this case is your toe angle, which bows outwards when the car is lowered. Get that dialed in and you'll be alright!

wow, pics were updated as I was loading mine. Sorry Steven Bell. Looks perfect to me.

I am on the adjustable teins at the highest setting and my tires wore on the front well before the back. I lost about 50% of tire life because of the camber on the front. The worst part was they wore on the inside so it looked as if they were fine until I got a flat. Might not be a big deal on stock tires but just thought I would share.

Steven... How's the camber in the front? Mine has been within factory spec with the S-tech springs. It's only the rear that's in the red on mine, and again... Tire wear on the inside is negligible.

^^^ Thanks guys....yes, I would shit if it was slammed!

Toe is fine, it was only the right rear camber that was an issue.

Congrats Steven! Looks much better and the springs should settle a bit more.

I didn't necessarily need a rear camber kit but I got one anyways. Better to be safe than sorry

Thanks Tyler. I'll shoot some better pictures tomorrow, if we have sunlight. It's very over cast today here in KC. Then you can see the drop a little better.

Then I stick with my original recommendation and will advise you that I think a camber kit is unnecessary in this instance, unless you want the flexibility of adjustability.

Looks good. It'll probably settle a little over the next few days.

I'd recommend getting a 3-year alignment package (assuming you plan to keep the car a few more years); you're going to want to keep the toe in good alignment (about every other oil change).

My specs are virtually identical -2.0 on one rear and in spec (just) on the other.

You do recommend the Aspec kit to others....maybe your turn soon?? And I know you don't like the Type-S front end, but maybe the base front?? You do have a nice new garage floor to work on now!!!!

and it allows the adjustability (i wish more cars came with full adjustability; but for idiots out there doing alignments, one more thing to fuck up though )

Thanks boys!

PZ, if I could find a Base TL Aspec lip that would fit the nose (a la JPTL), I would do it in a second!

I've loaded a new picture in post #47-it was taken tonight.

I'm just sitting here thinking....they really got me to do it-I surprised myself-you guys REALLY got me to lower the car!

In a word-different. I think the springs are still settling in. I'll give it a week before I really pass judgement.

Steven, you modded the type-s?! Nice! the slight drop looks right on point. you'll like the RSB, its the best bang for your buck for the suspension. and really makes a difference during spirited driving.

BTW, congrats on the promo! well deserved.

Hey Jaimie! Yea, I finally did a performance mod-can you believe it! But really, this mod is for aesthetic purposes, so....

Yea, I'm anxious to feel the difference of the RSB myself. And thanks for the kudos too-I appreciate it.

^^^ Tyler, the only way I'd do that is if I could get a Base TL Aspec front lip (a la jptl) for the Type S.

Just an update for you guys-I went ahead and ordered a camber kit today. It should be in on Thursday. I actually was looking at getting hubcentric spacers for the Type S. But I need to find some extended studs first.....
