TaLon Progress Thread ('08 TL-S CBP)
Been lurking around forums for awhile now and thought id just make a progress thread and share with the community
Had my TL-S for almost 2 years now and I've been slowly building it up. My plan is to turn it into a track car in the near future so any advice or suggestions would be well appreciated
And here is the beauty

First mod was a Weapon-R Dragon Intake. Just a temporary till i get a CAI

Next up. UR Chassis Brace Set. So far i only have the side braces and front lower installed. For the rear, I plan to do the next time I get an alignment.

Everyone loves LEDs
all interior except vanity mirror lights are red LEDs from superbrightleds

And everyone loves custom paintjobs too
engine covers painted

RV6 V3 J-Pipe vroom vroom? lol just got it installed today

Not alot of mods yet but more to come soon. Thinking bout getting a catback system next

Its awesome
The bracing improves the handling and cornering of the vehicle as far as I know, I really felt a difference when I put them on. Good investment i would say

Quick question for anyone who can answer: My front underbrace is touching the jpipe, will this cause any problems in general in the the future or will it be fine? I dont think its rubbing cuz its snug against it but ill have a look at it when I get home.
Lol thats pretty much where I got it from :P

You can modify the brace or just remove it, I doubt you will even notice it if you take it off.

If it is rubbing it most likely will cause problems. Just because it is snug doesn't mean it won't move. When you drive your motor moves, which will cause the j-pipe to move as well. Overtime you may rub enough to put a hole in the J-pipe or damage the brace.

LOL. Nice progress. I always enjoy custom work, but you the drawback of having custom stuff done is that it may not always come out looking good. Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and start over. Just my opinion though.
Bboy-I know that another member has the braces, not sure if all of them. Member-Morrisey25 (spelling?). I also remember a post I think from TSX members who had to put some washers in between the brace and subframe where it mounts, to avoid this issue. <-don't quote me on this, and I am not sure of the ramifications, but it may help in your search....or just call Marcus @ HeelToeAuto. I don't have the braces, but very interested!

Thanks for the comments guys
I'll look into this, the washers sound like a good idea. I was thinking bout grinding down part of the brace so it would clear it but this sounds like a better solution
