i can't find the one where you don't need a resistor; where's that one?

The hardest part was holding the trunk liner down. Stupid thing kept popping up when I was trying to push the clamps together. lol

As far as burning the liner...I was able to push the resistors all the way against the body, close to the clear tube. I am not worried about them burning through.
So you didn't mount the resistor onto the car frame? Thats the only part holding me back due to a lack of tools. If theres another way, let me know!

i'm really confused now; so other than blinking really fast, is there any downside to installing the LED switchbacks without a resistor?

Let's put it this way: Is there an upside to installing without a resistor?

Some people like Kennedy actually like the hyperflash....go figure.

It basically flashes faster because theres "no" load in the circuit anymore...

From my basic knowledge of EE, I don't see a downside to not installing resistors...

Can someone answer my question regarding mounting the resistor??

anybody else WITH SWITCHBACKS having a conectivity problem. my driver side light will sometimes not come on or it might be extremely dim. but if i thump the light it will brighten up. It's annoying as shit. i have taken the bulb out and made sure it is pushed all the way in and everything but it is like it has a mind of its own. just wondering if anyone else has this same problem and what they did to fix it!!

yeah good call! i really just need to take off the bumper so i can get a good look at all the wiring for the load equalizer. i guess i am just too lazy. HA FYI for everyone who has or wants switchbacks...2 or 3 months ago when i installed them i used the 25 watt resistors instead of the 50 and they havent burnt out. they were a little cheaper than autolumination.com and i found them at autozone.

nice! what is the deal with the flash module? how do you mod it? is it just a relay in there that needs to be changed or what?

So I am looking to buy some of these switchbacks any day now and on the autolumination website they have some 60 led 7443 size switchbacks and a caption that says it will fit the standard 7443 bulb fitting. Does anybody know if these would still require any modification to the stock headlamp housing? Also, is this type a good choice for these lights? I noticed that rod had a different set. Maybe the 20 LED tower?

Here's the link to where I was looking at:

I know this may seem like a dumb question... But how do you go about clearing the headlights... ? They look so much better cleared vs. Factory... Do you have to take them to a proffesional or can i do it myself w/o screwin' up the headlight assy

^^^ Lots of people do it themselves... but I'll rather let a professional do it personally.

Check out our vendor... JnC he does a really good job... he's done two headlights for me so far with absolutely no issues... https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/custom-headlights-jnc-continued-718576/

men the switch back looks great. i just got my self some new cdm headlights. look nice. i had to buy the signal socket for the type s to fit and so i just bought some switch back bulbs for them with load resistors from V-led. haven't receieved them yet.
prior to that i had gotten some 7443 for the factory socket for my old headlight.and the 7443 switchbacks fit right in. but as soon as i tried them, they went crazy on me. thats when i found out that i needed load resistors.
so i put back the filament bulbs to make sure i didn't mess anything up. but right now (i haven't put the socket back into the headlight) i noticed that my parking lights aren't coming on. when i signal, they blink normally but the parking lights don't come on. does anyone have any idea why this is happening.
thanks

Resistors have nothing to due with fit. Resistors are installed to prevent hyper blinking. Bulbs will fit as long as you buy the correct size.

Hey, I was communicating through emails with autolumination. They said the 30 and 60 Led fit without modification, whereas the 20 and 48 did not.

I put my order in along the 6ohm 50watt resisters. If you still curious in a week, i'll let you know.

that's because the 20 and 48 ones were made first and were larger in diameter. the new 30-60 led ones are made with a much thinner diameter and will fit the housing easy

yeah your right, not a switchback O.G. but a similar sized bulb. mine are all white on and when blinking, and are still going strong. i believe i inspired Rodney to finally get his switchbacks in.

now anybody can get these thinner ones , so its all good
