Hope you're not saying that you took off the bumper and didn't everything in 5 minutes. Impossible!

Seriously, it took me like an hour and a half from drilling the holes to the brackets in the wheel wells... It was my first time doing anything of the sort. Hope your 5 minute install doesn't fall off in 5 mins...lol. J/K. Good job!

Congrats! No offense, but if it really only took you 5 minutes to install, it's more likely than not, not installed correctly following the instructions provided.

Took me 5 minutes alone, just to drill the 3 holes under the bumper.

I spy lots of Dells...

Thanks guys.
And it took me 5 minutes because I didnt use all the brackets. I used the bottom and wheel well brackets, but did it my own special way
It is sturdy and its not going anywhere. I had to test the strength against high winds and went 125mph down an empty strip of road...it withstood the hurrican force winds just fine.

And it might have taken 7-10 minutes, but whos counting?lol

"My special way" = duct tape + 5 min. epoxy

J/K OP. Looks good! My lip is waiting patiently for spring for me to install it. I'm doing some other stuff to the center grill and bumper and will do the lip install by the book.

Looks good. The front and back are pretty easy. The sides were the pain in the ass for me.

Those plastic clips suck! They always break but i went and bought all new ones before my install not knowing it came with some!
Now you have to do the sides and rear so it does not look weird!

Caiman can probably explain it better than me. But police use radar and laser to check the speed of a vehicle. A radar detector works wonders for alerting of an officer using radar but laser, or also called LIDAR, is instant. The second it hits your car, the speed has been clocked. Theres no way to alert of an upcoming laser signal until it's actually on your car, which is too late. Jammers make it harder for the LIDAR to get the speed of the vehicle, and will alert the driver that they're being clocked. As they get closer to the LIDAR signal, the speed eventually will be read. Jammers aren't illegal in most states.

Im going to hear it from my friends for making this so public lol
But you did a good job explaining.

LIDAR is a speed measurement tool. It works by sending IR pulses in an extremely tight,l invisible beam.
Lets say a certain gun functions at 100pps (pulses per second). When hit, the system instantly recognizes that gun and its pulse rate, and begins firing its own pulse or IR pulses. The difference in the jammer and the gun are unrecognizable to the human eye.
What is is doing is filling in the gaps between pulses of the laser gun. A crude example would be (! is LIDAR gun, $ is jammer)
! !$!$!$!$!$!$!$!$
The LIDAR gun receives a constant beam of IR into it's receiver, and it cannot acquire a speed reading.

Or the simple explanation is it jams the police laser gun so you dont get a ticket lol

How dare you tell these people how jammers work Robert haha. Maybe I'll be able to get a punch-through with my PLIII now if you move those bottom heads to the back since you've added another part down low. I've actually been toying with the idea of selling my PLIII and getting an A-Spec kit for myself. Sure having the PLIII is fun but to be honest it's not very practical for me to have.

Good to see you finally made a post here!
HAHA the bottom heads are staying. I just need 1 more LI8.8 and im going to use my Gen7 CPU on the rear and the upgraded CPU for the front.

And really, i think the PLIII is awesome. But if you sold that you could get an Aspec kit, and a cheap-o marksman.
I just cant picture colby without some sort of LIDAR gun.lol

But if you cant make it to h-town, ill shoot you with the ProLite+ next time your in town.

That significantly reduces performance. It would be like putting your hand in front of a flashlight while trying to navigate a dark room.

I use so many for off axis shots.
2 Heads in front will work on almost all cars, but I believe in overkill.

A Laser Interceptor Quad (4 heads) will run you about $1100
A Dual will cost about $650

Yup. There is no such thing as overkill when you are using a jammer. The beam of your average new age LIDAR gun is 3ft wide at 1000ft. A lot different than radar which is 58' wide at 1000ft. I can use my LIDAR gun and pick off the edges of cars that have centrally placed jammer heads because they can't see the beam. The closer to the headlights the better and in Caiman's case, I can't get a reading on the front of his car regardless of which police laser gun I shoot at it. I also have a jammer quite obviously but I have the high powered version of it which uses two laser diodes, one horizontally polarized and one vertically polarized to cover as much ground on the car as possible. Usually, a jammer like mine would be recommended for a Dodge Ram with a massive chrome front but I also believe in overkill and put it on my car. You cannot get a reading on my car with any gun coming towards the laser gun or driving a way regardless of distance. The proper technique is that when you get an alert, you immediately slow to the speed limit, kill the jammers, and the officer obtains a reading.
