Jaime-outstanding work and creativity, as always. On your sills, did you try to illuminate the horizontal lines next to the ACURA logo? That's what I would like to see someone do-the ACURA logo and the lines illuminated.

I'm thinking you can only get those illuminated sills in red on the BM. Unless someone decides to start mass producing them...!

I wasn't sure if I would get my car back or not and thats why I passed up on the sills. I'm hoping to find them again in red.
i was thinking of some with just the letter "S" in the type-s font only for the rears though, dunno yet.

the material the shop that did the cutting had it. the EL tape..i think i got it from glow hut. dont remember i got it a while ago. i also got another piece of EL backlight from carelement from china. it can be cut into whatever size you want. i just didnt use it cuz it was more of a blue light output. maybe use it for another project

something like that would definitely work, it would just give it a shinny finish. im not worried about it though. its brushed aluminum its already scratched. and if it gets scuffed up too bad i'll just take some steel wool to it and re-brush it, i'll just cover up the plexi letters.

lighting up those lines would bee nice. but i think maybe it would be too much light. we'll see maybe on a custom set with less lines.

thanks Vini. no plans for the leather i like the two toned type-s style.

no one makes sills like this anymore. even though i have a nice set. im gonna try to make a cost effective custom set for myself. i think i found a place that can do ANYTHING with thin sheet aluminum.

Steven....im working on this but i am using my works CNC machine to do it. so its way cheap for me to use it. but I wish i had a water jet or laser cutter but i dont. I am working on the cnc fixture for ease of machining these for people. meaning you send me the OEM ones and i slap them on and run my program i worked hard on creating in solidworks. Its a little slower than laser but gives you the same effect. anyways check out the thread i started. there are pics too
