Thanks boys...
Yeah, in the last 2 months I have an envelope with receipts from Home Depot and it's FULLLLLL...
I love them though, they're good to me and best of all, they're 2 lights from home AND on my way home. I used to dig Lowes, but really...HD is too convenient for me.

I would put little amber porch lights on the mail box to match the beast in the driveway. Hahaha

I bet the car ended up having more damage than that "mailbox" did. Or did it just fall over and then you had to struggle to stand it up again?

Actually...nothing happened to it...it leaned back, and dropped back perfectly. Mission accomplished!

Fk that guy...he didn't even apologize...Rick Ross looking mofo. The GF that lives there that's pretty hot in a way did though

Seriously, your house just sucks. Ugly as hell. Worthless garbage. Piece of junk- no idea why people keep telling you it's nice. And that mailbox is the absolute worst thing. You should just cut your losses, sell it and move on.

I'll even help you out and give you $25,000 for your house.

^ (I sincerely hope you see the humour in that past...)

fixing a house is no cake walk. at least fixing a car, you don't put yourself at financial risk like a house would.

LMAO...I was being sarcastic back, Adam!

Thanks boys...I am not planning to sell...when I had the S, I had a moment where I considered keeping that instead of the TL but then I had a moment of clarity.

Betty paints fences, yes she does!

For me? Nawww...we're good thus far. Last thing to get up and running is the sprinkler system! Everything else is golden for now.

Roof, probably in 10 years, no shingle...
AC & WH, probably in next 5.

Other than that...so far, solid!

I dunno, I much rather work on a house than on a car... There's generally no room constraints when working on a house, like there is on a car, and generally there isn't any mechanical stuff to worry about that can really cause problems. Mechanical stuff on a house is fairly basic.

I've done it all- extensive plumbing and electrical, some HVAC, flooring, drywalling, painting, framing, insulating, sound proofing, kitchen cabinets, sub floors, custom fire place enclosures, concrete, vapour barrier, doors and door frames, building an entire friggin garage, decks, fences, landscaping, etc. that stuff is fun. And I'm no trades guy. I just like working with my hands. Having attention to detail and being OCD definitely helps too, lol.

And if you don't know what you're doing, study up until you do. There's so much info available out there. It also helps if you know some trades guys, in case you're in a bind, lol.

And having the right tools always always always helps. I like doing home projects because it gives me a legitimate excuse to buy new tools

Of course there's financial risk on fixing a car. If you mess it up, you have to pay someone to fix it. A house is the same as a car. If you know what you're doing and what to look out for, you'll be fine!
