J what kind of vibrations are you feeling to know that it's an axle? I haven't replaced any of mine (107k miles) but don't even know how i would know i need to replace one (maybe that's a good thing haha).

^^^ If cv joints bad you'll feel vibration under acceleration. I replaced mine both oem at 90k.

I love both your nbp and kbp! Makes me want to repaint mine blue color. Lol Black car looks really nice when it's clean but hard to keep it clean and scratch, swirl free.
I've never seen those tails on kbp. It looks really nice.
I miss my Advan rs everytime i see your pics. Lol

LOL, I thought so...

sockr...if you don't know it, don't look for it.

Like anthracite said...it's a weird vibration under load, mainly felt in 2nd and 3rd...3-4K...under it, not so much, over it, not so much. Changes with ride height (axle angle) and it'll get better or worse after making a turn.

Advan RS FTMFW!!!

Finally got the new oem boots...some new grease and c clips and my spc upper arms were ready to be reinstalled.

and finally...no spacer...all tire...flush somewhat meaty tire look

Ahhhh you've got me thinking now. Maybe I'll get those rear upper arms too. I've never bothered with camber kits for my TLs tho!

well, i was FINE with natural camber out back, but the idea that I could correct camber, be flush AF and NOT have to do extended studs and spacers to get the same look...was too tempting.

i just switched to the upper camber arms from ingalls also, i love the spc arms, they are much more sturdy feeling on your car than the ingalls kit. regarding camber kits or not, it just makes me feel better when i can put my rear camber to -1 right in the middle of the spec range. plus it makes the rear look so much more flush!

My wife is all "Why do you want to do that?"

Don't question me woman... "Why do you want white stairs inside the house?"

Rays valve stem covers on Advan wheels??

That fitment looks fantastic. Really making me want to go lower and more neutral, but I'm guessing the roads here are a lot worse than Florida.

Was that a Reflection Eternal / Hi Tek song reference, Flip?!?!

Yeah, and knockoff Ray's valve stem caps at that...they were part of a set I bought on Amazon, but I had to dump them when we switched to the TPMS.

I also forgot...I had a loose side on the bumper...loosened up one side and pulled it back to get at the 2 screws holding the retention bracket...tightened those up and voila...entire bumper gap is perfect and tight like Carmen Elektra's bum in 1999.

Here's what the final stance/offset/hellawek flush tires looks like with the camber adjusted...I'll probably have to lightly roll the front upward a little, with wheels slightly cut and hitting a bump, it does rub slightly.

I love it because with mismatched camber and uneven tire tuckage (both trademarked rs143 terms)...the rims can look like different sizes. Now, perfection.

Man, I saw a KBP on the road this morning and it was gorgeous.

I'm sure he thought the same as I drove past him in my WDP

Your TLS has an OEM aux input? I did not know this was part of the OE auido. As for base MT vs TLS MT, I still share your initial views on not really seeing much of a reason to switch, but ignorance is bliss on my part I guess, lol.

Looking good as always Rockstar. One day we will have to meet up in person being in FL and all.

Yes sir! And funny...but discovered yesterday it also has the same windows up functionality with the key in the hole that my wife's 08 Accord had. Almost positive the base didn't do that.

It's not so much that it's worth it or not worth it...the base is great and fine, but obviously the type s has the edge, power wise...in addition, it was a logical upgrade for me...the most desirable 3G combo...within my reach. I would have regretted passing on that. Just need the black car sold so I can emotionally detach from it!
