Yeah LEDs give it that sharp blink. Can't go back to incandescents!

Is this the correct bulb for the rear signal leds?

Have any of you 3G guys swapped out the flasher modules with one that can handle LEDs? That's what I did with my 2G (no resistors used) and it controls incandescent and LEDs.

I installed the EP34 module.

One 3 ohm resistor will run all four blinkers slow when you hit the hazards as they run in series.
So one 3 ohm per side will work regarless of how many leds you have on the drivers side or passenger side. If the resistor is in series, it will take the load and let the led blink slow. The 3 ohm will heat up faster so it is a great idea to run two 3 ohms on each side to keep the heat down.
I have these exact bulbs in the back and put a video of them a while back because I couldn't believe how bright and sharp they were. Good buy man!

You'll have to use the 3 OHM resistor or you'll get hyper Blinking. the 6 OHM one is only for single LEDS. Yo E, just hit me up when you wanna do this. you know im working now so friday aint the day but i might get out early i be getting home at 4 now from work. we'll see.

yea wierd as $hit. abp installs the lights to see the hyperblinking and guess what. NONE!!! to my amazement, i wanted to check out his old ones but too busy installing a rsb so i am going to check out his resistors today and get back with why the hell he didn't need the 3 ohm resistor. another addon he has that i dont is side mirrors but i dont thats enough resistance to not need the 3 ohm. well see.

^^ if you run the flashers, it will blink normal. in the 2nd video posted, it looks like he pushed the flasher button which all lights blink normal. but when the flashers are off and you actually use the turn signal it will hyper flash without the resistor, why you ask, i figured this out today on my car.. i was using the 6ohm resistor for the front leds, received the rear leds today, installed and hit the flashers and no hyperblink, thought everything was cool, put the shit back together and turn the signal on by the steering switch and hyperblinking started instantly even with the 6ohm resistor on.. so i'm going to wait until the 3ohm resistor comes in to install the rear leds..

Hey guys, I'm just wondering, why are resistors needed for LED blinkers? I mean, I've read the posts where if resistors aren't used, you'll get hyperflashing, but don't the LEDS have built in resistors? By looking at the LED replacements on v-leds.com, I would assume you just need to swap the incandescents with the LEDs, and you'll be good to go. But seeing how resistors are needed, it doesn't seem like that's the case. And how would the resistors fit with the LEDs in the housing?
Sorry, I'm a pretty big noob at this, and I wasn't really good at physics, E&M and circuits were never fun for me.
