LOL you guys are ridikalus.

We had a busy Friday night! but there's more to come in the near future.

Here's a pic I snapped when I was pulling out the driveway this morning.

haha!

Yesterday the weather was too damn nice to go to class so I spent the day messing with the car a little bit. Finally added my CREE style LED reverse lights, LED licence plate lights, and gave the car a good and desperately needed interior cleaning.

So I figured I'd put together a list of the remaining mods to go on the car.

This will all be likely be next weekish when some of these parts show up
-iJDMtoy LED DRL harness
-Kiaxen 6000k headlight bulbs
-Red footwell lighting
-6000k Vleds 92 smd switchbacks
-tint fogs yellow
-subwoofer install (nothing too special, just a sony I got for free )
-USA-SPEC ipod input
-CT Short shifter
-Navtool
-Myron Davis DVD player
-Window visors
-RV6 Strut tower bar

This week:
-Alignment today
-Rolling fenders this weekend for the Vossens

Thats all for now...

Q, I will be interested to see how the CREE LED's look in the reverse lights and the license plates....I have been wanting to do this myself....

my reverse and license plate LED's are 4 years old and dim as a mofo...was thinking of switching them....any pix will help

also, did you get it from vled's ? or ebay?

I'm a stickler for getting an alignment WITH the wheels I'll be using all the time. Don't you want to get fitment perfect first before messing with that? You'll be fine with no alignment for a week or 2 till you get it right.

Nice update.
but what's with all these letters strewn together to form words. They don't resemble pictures at all.

Swoosh;

I got mine from eBay. Unfortunately the Cree style that I got were wayyy too large to fit in the license plate bulb housins so I just have a 5 led bulb in there.

J; you're right but honestly I switch wheels more often than I do alignment so it's ok

Yup that's what I did. I know everyone likes super bright and many go with the cold cathode and what not. But I like to keep it stock; I just wanted them to be bright white and not incandescent yellow

As for reverse, I haven't tested them at night yet but ill get a shot of my nav with backup camera to show how they look. I need bright in there because of my dark tint. If these don't fit the bill I may just go with an HID set up.

^^^ makes sense....

I cant see shiz at night in my rear view camera which does awesome in the day....I have to blame the reverse LED's and license plate LED's for that

Either way thanks....I might try something (paperboy did an awesome DIY) and will let you know how that works

HID's are awesome....you will be able to see every damn thing....if I wasnt all about saving weight, I would have done HID's with a kill switch

After installing the set of axles from Advance Auto, did you experience any vibration issues "Q"? I have a clicking axle that needs to be replaced. The boots are not torn on either axle, but for my piece of mind, I will replace both sometime soon.

his axles were fuxored! when i pulled them out, neither of the boots on either axle were torn, the cv joints were just locked up. Probably causing the clicking until he got them moving and warmed up. It was very strange

I appreciate the feedback. My cv joints are probably in the same condition as Q's. Do you know whether there was any vibration caused by installing the Advance Auto Reman's? I'm debating on whether to purchase OEM or not.

Earl;

I heard some people have had issues with them but mine are great so far. I've had the car up to 80-90mph and haven't had anything as far as vibrations or any clicking any more. I replaced them both with NEW advance auto ones. They aren't remanufactures and they don't require a core

You may have to order yours and have them shipped cause they're hard to find for the MT; but they cost me under 120$ for both and free shipping after some coupon codes.

installed his 6000k bulbs last night, led drl kit, wrapped the fog lights in yellow vinly, fixed the front grille since his painter misaligned it, installed the short shifter, and the USA Spec... I think it was a pretty productive evening.

Finally got a pic!

Met up with Glenn on last week for some more updates;

Done:
-iJDMtoy LED DRL harness
-Kiaxen 6000k headlight bulbs
-tint fogs yellow
-USA-SPEC ipod input
-CT Short shifter
-Alignment

Still to be done:
-Red footwell lighting
-6000k Vleds 92 smd switchbacks
-Navtool
-Myron Davis DVD player
-Subwoofer
-Vossen CV3's
-Rolling fenders to be done Sunday!

Here's a quick pic I snapped at a garage. I also adjusted my license plate location a bit; Glenn and I both agreed it looks much better! I also have been really loving the CT Short Shifter. Makes shifting so much more fun and enjoyable...definitely feels a lot more precise.
