Well gents, Seeing how i see a lot of people doing progress threads on their car i figured i would start mine as well. The transformation from stock to what it is now is amazing. And im still just getting started! So lets start with the basics.

When I first got my TL. 2005 AT Base with 131,XXX
Stupid Iphone takes too large of picture so I have to create a photobucket for you to see the pictures.
Couple weeks later i got 15% tints in back and 35% in front to keep it legal.


Then got me some Depo black and white tailights.



Then I found out about Plastidip and decided to take off Acura Tl emblems and leave the Acura symbol.


A month later i decided to plastidip my grill and left the symbol chrome.


I have a friend who's family owns a shop in STL called Auto Trim Restyle(ATR) he had his dude hook me up with footwell LED's in the front.(I installed them in the back in september 2013.)
I had the blue interior lights when i got the car.

In january me and my buddy had some beef with a kid from my school.(My buddy and i ended up following him to a gas station where he punched both his mirrors off. So they decided to do mine instead ) So i fixed my right mirror with an unpainted and plastidip'd black to go with my black and blue theme.

Two weeks after the mirror my AEM v2 intake came in and got it installed.

My buddys did most of the work at the time cause i had no clue what i was doing with cars.


I did the open face front bumper grill DIY mod from 3g Garage. My friend went to a tech school for two years while in highschool cause south tech. He was in autobody so he helped me out. Found a little critter too.


I was a dumby and saw that people were VHT tinting their tailights so i did it to my stock and Depo tailights that were currently on. I had my tailights customized by Acktl. So i cleaned them off and sent them to him and put my tinted stock back on.



This is how i had them done to match my ABP


Then i plastidip'd my wheels and clear coated them.




I found some stickers i liked and put them on there. Also found for the front bumper the ACURA inlay in white so i can fill it in where my previous license plate used to cover it up.


I soon later on remove the stickers on the left half of my car and transfer two over to the right. Removed some dumb ones too. I went a little overboard.

About a month later i installed 6k HID's from iJDMtoy.com. Was a pain in the ass lemme tell you. prolly could of done it a easier way.




About ten weeks after plastidipping i was driving the girlfriend to school and decided it would be jive to curb the fuck out of my wheels half asleep. So i just threw some more plastidip over the wheel and just left it till then end of November 2013.



That same week my Dynomax #24215 came in. This will be a problem later on in my thread. I ran Stage 3 mod. I hate how quiet the Stock tl is..




I got my custom plate TE-L because TL-c TLC T-L-C was all taken. I was devastated. My mom also had a custom plate after mine. I decided to take off the plastip from the back emblem and actually remove it and paint it gloss black with clear coat and too with the silver lip about the license plate on the trunk.


At the end of july beginning of august i decided to paint what was left of my engine bay covers blue and my engine cover black with the IM blue with black lettering with a high temp paint pen from online. I also did my calipers with caliper paint and High temp gloss. is already chipping 3 months later...




Next thing was getting black floor mats from a 3g tl. my driver side TL patch got ripped off. .I have no picture but its self explanatory. I also picked up a TB spacer to go with the AEM v2. My car sounds like a space ship now.


There were two pair of black pedals on ebay. i grabbed them for 75 bucks or so. They were a pain in the ass to install!


In January 2013 i ran into my mailbox when that dude broke off my tailight. I backed into it so i have some body damage in the back. I installed new vLEDS reverse lights to insure this wouldnt happen EVER. These are BRIGHT!! they are 5K white


In the middle of november 2013 i got sick for 3 days with flu. I had ordered RV6 v3 jpipe from TheRussian used because he was selling his car if i remember. So i had that installed during my sickness. I still need to have my correct bolts and gaskets installed. I gave them permatex high temp sealer. But here is the problem with my Stage 3 in the past. I got nasty rasp because of the 3rd cat delete with the J-pipe. So i sought help from The Machine cause he had this problem as well. I ordered Dynomax 24235 which is like two times as big as the 24215.. I will have this put in soon.


I decided i was tired of my grey intake and i also broke my vibration mount for intake. So i decided to paint it blue, slid it back in there and fix that mount. The mount broke because i previously had upper and lower engine AND tranny mounts blown.. so the engine broke it from jumping so much. that was a 680 dollar fix.

During Thanksgiving week my parents went out of town. So i had the whole house to myself... you know what that means!! MAKE MY GARAGE INTO A PAINT BOOTH I ordered a roof spoiler from ebay from Spoiler Kingz unpainted. So i warmed it up to about 70 degress and primed painted and glossed.

So the time came where my rims were just bugging me to much. I HAD to redo them. I think they turned out so bad after a while because i didnt use high temp gloss so it started to crackle and bubble weird. And this was a "Female Dog".. GRRRR. I spent hours using a wire wheel on a electric drill getting this stuff off and sanded down for primer. HOURS. But Oh. My. God. Did they turn out good. There is barely ANY rash anymore. I got most of it sanded down and primed over. Pictures are below..

Keep in mind pictures are not always detailed. looks better imo in person.

Then i found a little DIY thats easy to make my taillights a little brighter. I took off bumper and took off taillights and opened up the LED board and little smashed and broke and chipped off the frosted glass till nothing was there. I have a difference from With and without frosted diffuser glass or whatever.
Its kind of hard to see so hit Ctrl+scroll to zoom in and compare. The Right has NO diffuser.

((It is December 3rd 2013 and i am now up to date with everything i have done to my car that i cant think off. I will now be keeping dates and more pictures of everything i do. I will make sure to send pictures to the correct Size so you dont have to click on so many damn links.))

Ok. I know guys jebus. Lolol. Like i said some of these photos were taken over 2 years ago. 80% of them were taking off of Instagram. So the quality is bad because i had to crop some of them and some do have filters. But like i said at the end i WILL be posting better pictures with no links. And i think someone already did the [IMG] on some. But i can't seem to edit them. I read on a thread that you can only edit it after 5 minutes or so after its been posted..?

**UPDATE** 12/27/13 Last friday I curbed my rim again following my drunk coworker home. Was to busy paying attention to him. My rim has already been cracked from previous curb.. So as of now i am rolling on my spare and not driving barely. I've looked into rims and i saw that i like XXR521's but ive heard reviews that they are bad quality and breaks easy. I want a chrome lip with gloss black spokes. ANYONE have any ideas for wheels cause im a lost puppy right now deciding on what i want.

 

Sorry to hear about your wheels.

As for XXR wheels, they are super popular, but I haven't heard anything regarding their quality. I know of a few people who have cracked them, but that happens with OEM and expensive wheels as well, so I cannot say that they are poor-quality.

 

The RonJon wheels are very nice-check out the Inspyres.

 

On Dec29th 2013 I had my friend get his rep at his shop order up some 18'' ASA R1 wheels with some Continental DWS tires. 1400 bucks for it all. Well its not 7:30 on 1/8/14 and they are installed. The midwest just got nailed by 10+ft of snow and finally got to take her out on a drive. Love that the tires stick so well. So i will provide pictures of how they look on the TL .
