The traffic is my reason. When I was 17 I had a 1971 black Chevelle LT-1 m-22 trans, all I did was speedshift everywhere I went The last car I had in 1994 had a stick, everytime I got I would start beating and speed shifting the car. I knew if I didn't sell it I would blow it up I have a very hard time driving a car with a stick nicely SMOKIN the tires.

I will be honest, I learned MT shortly on a friends car before so I barely know how to drive stick and I don't want try to learn on this car. My next reason is because I live in Jersey and the traffic gets pretty bad so the MT would definitely get old after a while. I was incredibly tempted though. Lastly, wifey will want to drive the car as well and by the time she's done learning, I'll be up for a new tranny and clutch.

Honest man, that's good! To tell you the truth, I would have hated to learn to drive stick on the TL. IMO, the clutch it's very very VERY different from any other clutch i've driven. Being from Jersey, i hear you. Central Jersey traffic SUX. From rt. 18 to turnpike is a BITCH. W/ regards to the wifey, just say NO!!!!

Beautiful! Oh how i love KBP! Now stop hurting my eyes and put some rims on it..

Question... I've always wondered this... why when you buy a new car do they have those little round red stickers on the tires?

That color looks very nice new. I just think when the paint gets older it'll lose it's lustre and appeal. Seems like a novelty thing to me. But it does look pretty slick!

As for the manual thing, you did right - but only becuz of the wifey! My very first car was bought that way. I knew very little about driving with one, but learned on the fly! Hey, I wanted to drive, and the MT looked fun as hell! Still is to this day! You could have learned to drive one THEN bought one. They are so much fun and unlike Laxplaya, I LOVE this clutch! Best clutch I've ever had, and I've had many! Traffic doesn't bother me. I don't even think about it becuz the clutch and tranny are so good in this car. Plus I added the CT SS and Skunk2 shiftknob for more fun! One day you will get one and see what you've been missing!

Anyway, congrats on that nice looking ride! Yeah, NBP is a bitch to keep clean, but I can't see that one being much better because it won't gleam like that if it's dirty!

I can't tell you how many people have told me that the best thing about the car are the rims because they're so unique. I

Yeah, it is all a matter of opinion..

If you like em then keep em' Just dont dig them at all..

Acura has to be the only car manufacturer to put 17" on a car that cost 37,000

They look better on some colors than others, but all around i am not feelin them in my opinion,,,,

Also am I the only one who is not diggin that new steering wheel design?

Hot stuff. Very sporty.... ditto on the rims, but hey no need to beat a dead horse. The car still looks great either way! Nice work!

When my 07 ASM TL-S W/ A-Spec kit is all clean, tires coated, and the car ISN'T sitting next to another TL with sweet 19's it looks great. But when those fast & furious wheels are dusty, and the tires are grey it looks like shit. Or next to a car with REAL good lookin wheels.

I AGREE 100% About not having bigger wheels. The Type-S SHOULD come standard with a GREAT lookin 18" MINIMUM

Acura must of let a 13 year old pick the new design on Father & Son Day

No, I HATE the new steering wheel design. Ew.

And "unique" is certainly one way to describe Type-S rims..

The car looks great in every angle. I used to hate the TypeS wheels, but they are growing on me. The steering looks great, the triangular design screams sporty. And I don't think 19s are really necessary if you use the car for daily commuting. Just imagine hitting a pot hole in New Jersey with 19s.. no thanks! I guess everyone has their own taste in cars. But don't worry, bud I am on your side, I love it. If I can get another acura it will be that same exact color.

TypeSDragon,

Thanks man, I couldn't agree with you more. I work for a pharmaceutical company where I need to worry about not going out of my way to stand out and look like a nutcase and I definitely don't care too much about cruising around the hood sippin on a slurpy showing off my blinged out 19 inchers. The car to me has the perfect mix of class/sport and I couldn't of asked for more.

BJTEX,

My next mod will probably the lighted door sills but may wait a few months before that. I did put the splash guards on if you hadn't noticed.
