Persephone is done! - lots of mods, lots of pics!!
Hey guys,
My car is pretty much done on an aesthetic level... FINALLY! I'll be doing the sound system next but I wanted to post up some pics of what I've gotten so far. I washed her yesterday and took some pics. Unfortunately, I didn't have a great place to take them at, so I did it in my driveway.
I've got a ton of mods on this car -- my signature pretty much speaks for them all. If you've got any questions about any of the mods, let me know. And now, on with the show:
What do y'all think?

Looking good, I like the black emblems.
What kinda bulbs do you have in the fogs and do you have any pictures of the fogs on at night...
I am debating on either going with a yellow or a super white color..

Hey guys,
Thanks for the compliments! I'm loving the look for sure. I didn't go with the polished lip because I really wanted to stay classy without any bling bling component whatsoever. Of course it's a matter of taste. I agree that it would look better with darker tint but I'm trying to stay legal in that department.
And it hurts to say it but the "mud" is actually salt stains. I've driven my car for two winters but with all the mods she's got on her, she's not going to see another winter. Enough is enough. Anyone have a '94 Accord they wanna sell me as a winter beater?
Oh, and I painted the emblems... lotsa paint work... doesn't hold up very well unfortunately... will have to find a more permanent solution one day.

Use Bulldog paint adhesive first.

lilvinny and poocha,
I tried to do the paint and clearcoat thing and when I sprayed on the clearcoat, the paint started bubbling. I let the paint dry overnight too... I had to sand down and start all over. Do you guys have specific paint to recommend? lilvinny, if I use the Bulldog, do I still have to use a primer?

The shop that did my kit seems to swear by bulldog paint adhesive for painting ANY plastics or polyurethane. As he says, it causes the paint to "stick" and prevent flaking or peeling.
I don't know if primer is needed after the adhesive or not. Since its only plastic and no real "work" is needed for dings/chips, you may not need to prime.

Wow....that looks great! How do you like the General's? I have them as well 245/35/19 and so far I couldn't be happier. For the price, they are an amazing tire.....sure as hell beats the stock Michelin's.....those are junk!

I really like the Generals! They perform extremely well for that price and they are comfortable and relatively quiet. I have the same size. Actually I might have 235/35/19... can't remember. :P

Not feeling the blacked out rims at all. There needs to be at least some contrast IMO. And to go with that whole theme only to have 55/35 windows? Maybe your providence has some laws against tinting so disregard that. Other than that, great mods on a great car.

Hey Zax123,
I would suggest powder coating instead of paint for the emblems.
This stuff is lot more resilient then paint and imprevious to chemicals.
just have to find a local powder coating shop
Best regards

Hey ed,
I'm not sure what I paid, it was almost a year ago. I'll have to admit that I paid "too much". I could have ordered the kit from RJ directly, had it painted at a local shop and installed it myself. It's really not difficult. I've since taken the bumper off and stored it in winter and put it back on myself. Really not complicated compared to some of the other stuff I've done on my car. I would take a look at Ron's site and base your estimates on that. Get a local paint shop to do the painting. I went out of town to get it done and I regret it, they weren't the best place in the world by any means.
frenchnew,
Hello fellow Quebecer! Do you have any idea where I could find a powder coating shop in the Montreal area? I'll definitely get it done, my emblems and plastic trim on the bumper and hood are chipping already.
