Painted the "Heart" of the Beauty.

I have a 04 TL and I am doing a clutch job so i took the opertunity while it is down for a clutch job to paint the "heart" of the Beauty (the plate on top of the intake, see pics) I paint valvecovers for people all the time and I figured it appropriate to paint the "Heart" wrinkle red. Hope you like I will add pics of it on car when I get finished replacing the clutch.

Here are a few pics of valve covers I have painted.

a K20, K24

B16, B18

That looks amazing. The wrinkle paint is a very nice touch, big .

I'm planning to polish mine, but after seeing yours I'm having second thoughts.

Do you just sand down the lettering after it dries or do you tape it off???

What type of paint do you use?

I do sand the letters down after, but I would not like to disclose my paint source. Hope you understand.

There's an easier way to do this. Once the paint is semi dry (wait an hour or so after painting), get a rag and damp it with paint thinner and wipe off the raised letterings carefully.

That should do the trick as well.

Nicely done. wrinkle red ftw.

This plate is a manifold cover. The other plates are the valve covers.
