lol you guys are hilarious. Im keeping the TL until the wheels fall off and in that event id likely get new wheels
on the other note I think you guys were confused as to what i was saying. Of course this car will not increase in value, that is silly, what I meant was "lease equity" meaning that the buyout at the end of the lease is significantly lower than the actual market value, therefore you can just sell the car for market value, pay off the remaining buyout and keep the difference.
Now to get equity out of it, you have to keep the car in pristine shape, which as most of you know i keep my stuff super duper clean so thats not a problem, I also dont log a massive amount of miles either so id likely be bringing it back under the allotted mileage.
you may think I'm just blowing smoke out my ass but from my experience so far is that these are pretty rare, at least in Canada and none of the dealers can even get them right now, The wait time is like 28 weeks or some bullshit. I got lucky, no doubt about it and they had to search high and low just to get me in one.
The hatch is a hot unit and its in demand big time right now.
we will see in a cpl years I guess and see where the market value is at that time. The type r is coming out and will be here in Canada very soon but thats not a car thats going to be attainable to the avg person nor will there be an abundance of them produced so its not like that is going to kill the value of the sport hatch that I have.

Great choice for a daily driver! I love those new hatches. They're so smooth and comfortable and quick. And that motor has a kind of purr to it that you would not expect out of a civic, or any stock 4-cyl for that matter. They did a great job with that car, the colors and all the black accents - she's a head-turner. Not as much as your TL of course, but still a great looking all-stock car.
Hope your job at Honda is treating you well!
PS. What better day for a thread revival? Happy Easter! lol

does anyone on this forum even have a TL anymore Seems like no one even cared about the TL pics I posted..
Car still works great.. Needs a few little TLC bits here and there.. Mounts would be really nice. Oil pump is weeping...
Its basically maxed out for low , anymore low or poke on the wheels things could be fatal. Fitment is as tight as it can get with these specs..
Heres a pic of the Golf Wagon I took the other day

LOL...
doens't anyone give a fuck about my TL anymore? Here's a pic of my VW.
brother...we all met because we have a common interest but we are all still here because we have become friendly and enjoy each other's daily banter and ribbing...that's why we encouraged you to come by ramblings and chop it up with us again. If it's just about visiting a self serving personal thread for e high fives about how nice our cars are, that gets old eventually. Ask me how I know.
So while we do appreciate that you still care and put effort into it...if you're looking for it, you probably won't get it. I still look twice when I see a clean TL but these days I look harder at the ones that haven't been modified and have been well maintained. If I got another, I'd try and find an aspec set of wheels...spacers and springs and call it a day.

Whats up guys?
Update on the TL. First 2 pics are from last year with un-drivable fitment lol. Dumped with 225/40/18 up front and 235/40/18 in the rear.
The remaning pictures are as of today!
Raised it up all around and threw on some meat!
235/40/18 in the front - 245/40/18 in the rear. BFG Sport Comp2 Tires
Car is drivable, drives like a dream now. No axle wobble, no banging the frame around, no tire rub! Lol.
Raised up in the rear with 245/40/18

Coming from a 2002 TL type s which had its issues and over 310km on er.
I recently picked this 2006 Acura TL up for 8k 200,000km on it.
Was bone stock except for A-spec kit!
Put a injen intake in it. Love the sound it gave it! Bought the Type s rims brand new. Loving that look the rims are AWESOME. VHT sprayed the rear tails and side markers.
Will post another pic soon of painted engine bay. That ugly black plastic needed to painted!
Putting on brembo rotors and pads soon along with NGK plugs. Going to really consider the type s front sway paired with the progress rear sway.
Let me know what you guys think! Thanks
