Yeah, not gold at all!
i actually contemplated a hammered copper look, might have been nice, but I missed my project mu lugs and the satin lagoon is just too perfect a match. I also like staying with bluish hues because of the blue pearl in the paint. The orange did look nice, but was never my fav.
It was beautifully done man. Would you mind letting me know what brand lug nuts those are? It's impossible to find that style of lug nuts made with Steel and painted orange.
The orange ones?
They're aluminum and made by NRG.
and
thanks, man...
if you find my old thread, you'll have enough bullshit to read through for a month. Plus you'll see all the different phases that poor car went through.
^^ on my next setup I might paint the caps of my project mu lugs that color and do the brembos that way. But that pic is too good and it's intimidating haha.
Please, just buy the mu knock offs that are steel and come in different colors to do that!
haha! I'll read through your bullshit/ How was the ride aluminum lug nuts? I've bad heard things about aluminum lug nuts on wheels. I've seen so many aluminum lug nuts go between 30$-120$. Aren't they all the same material?
They can cross thread and strip easily...
only put them on by hand...
and I got so anal I used to run a thread chaser on with some dry film lubricant EVERY time I put them on.

Wow haha, you babied your TL. I just searched up what thread chasing was. Sounds like something I'll be buying the lug nuts last after everything in my suspension is finished.
I enjoyed reading through this thread at work, you really improved the hell out of your TL man! I love the end product, especially the carbon fiber! I've had my 2006 TL for about two years now and only just started modding it this year. Most of the money has gone under the hood through with the Intake Manifold, HFPC, Jpipe, Exhaust, and Coilovers. Next step is to work on the cosmetic outside to get it refreshed and looking like yours man! The fresh paint job is absolutely a must. Much love for the Abyssal Blue Pearl
