Noob feedback wanted on new ride
I just bought a AM 2005 TL and I just did my first "mod"......well, I'm not really sure if you can count new wheels and tires as mods! I almost bought a used TL from a dealership in CA that had the gunmetal A-spec rims, but it had been in an accident and the body work wasn't perfect.....and I'm picky like that. So I found a guy here in UT that got the exact TL I wanted from the auction in Vegas and he only charged me $500 more than he paid. So I got my super-clean 2005 TL with 55k miles for $15,300! Is this as good a deal as I think?
I needed to get two new tires, so I convinced the wife that I this was the right time to get new wheels too! I love the A-spec rims, but the boss (my wife) had me on a budget so I ended up getting the 18x8 MB Interlines from Discount Tire. I know they're not nearly as fancy as some of the other wheels I've seen here, but I think they look HAWT on my car. Also, after some negotiating, I got these wheels and new Kumho ECSTAs for $1,050! So pretty good deal all around.
So what do you think of the wheels? I think the gunmetal on the wheels goes perfectly with the AM!
I'm thinking that the first mod I'll do (assuming I can get the budget approved ) will be a CAI.
I'll be selling my stock wheels with two brand-new Pirelli P6s soon.

Wheels definatly count. Sounds like you got a good deal on the car and the wheels\tires. It's lookin good. I think that 55K is about when the suspension starts to go too (or atleast that's what you'll have to tell the boss), so maybe you should look into swapping that out too...you know, for safety reasons....
